@MR3Dev@bigbrownson Yeah, the comics, the animated series, the Raimi movies and all that. He's always been broke. But he usually lives with Aunt May or whatever.
No one who's broke in NYC could afford the sort of place he's living in with this film. It's unrealistic.
U.S. company Satyress is developing threehalves, a centaur-style robot designed for dangerous environments such as wildfires, rubble searches, toxic areas and confined spaces. The system combines a humanoid upper body with a quadruped mobility platform. #USA#Robotics#UGV#AI
Hey @clongmire42, does it still look like we're getting the updated GASP soon? Do you have any rough non-official ETA?
Thank you again for all the great work on it!
@Hammerstone911@MR3Dev Perlin Noise, used to sample things for randomization and organic feeling distribution. Can be used for all sorts of stuff from material effects to environment landscapes, scattering. Endless possibilities really.
Claude is the option I use day to day, particularly the Fable model. I hear that Sol from ChatGPT is supposed to be good too, but it's not available for everyone yet. Grok is pretty capable too, I don't use it much on game dev though.
My game has already been in development for a long time before AI got so good, so these days most of the work I have it doing falls into a few categories:
1. Bridging independently developed systems to work together.
2. Writing a plugin or utility widget to aide in QA or make something for a custom workflow.
3. Find memory leaks and logic issues.
4. Automating optimization.
A few weeks ago I'd say AI was saving me 10 hours a week, now it's probably saving 20-30 hours a week that free me up to tackle other tasks in the never ending todo list.
@relativegames@Grummz 🙄
I’ll just say it’s a multiplier and timesaver for studios that aren’t staffed full of activists.
Examples:
(Modern) Rocksteady Games: probably not hugely impactful.
Capcom or Nintendo: absolutely helpful and time-saving.
@relativegames@Grummz Because the nerd guys that were deeply passionate about the technology have been pushed out by activists that prioritize agenda and feelings over productivity and quality.
@MR3Dev@Ahwhwh2740394 I agree on getting rid of the microtransactions, but there is legit use too. I see plenty of people using photo mode in TLOUS and RE 9 with just the stock outfits.
