@homerjahsimpson Tbh this probably stems from older gamers that had to wait for a disk to load for 30-45 seconds every random battle, who probably evade every encounter in modern rpgs.

I honestly hardly play rpgs but the insta-kill weak mobs QOL thing is only nice for PS1/2/3 Era games.

if it’s a multiplayer game 9/10 I’m turning the ingame music off immediately to listen to my own thing but I’m morally opposed to doing that in single-player games unless I’m grinding or somethin

If they knew shutdown was inevitability many wouldn't purchase the game, knowing that the issue is preventable also helps.

@KitsuneFuzzy The easier solution is to just have an offline mode at launch, also Lethal Company, Among Us, Peak, etc can be played offline meaning they're not impacted by this at all.

Your examples literally prove an offline or self hosted options are viable for small companies.

If a small % of players are whales, companies have no reason to cater to those boycotting.

Many live service titles are also carried by whales who outspend the vast majority too.

No physical discipline =/= Gentle parenting.

Gentle parenting is extremely specific.
You can still provide uncomfortable punishments that don't require putting your hands on your kids, it depends on the kid obviously.

@chaddyxc @chainmonkey2 @RealEmirHan I don't like Homelander but his pain tolerance would be insane on just a pure mental level, he was literally tortured in ways that kill normal humans instantly & kills most other supes in seconds/minutes.

He'd be struggling & hurting but he has quite literally felt worse.
