Just like the public deserves quality journalists, we also deserve access to quality broadcasters.@RepGiral and I have introduced a bill to prohibit non-compete agreements for broadcast workers to make sure they're not restricted from finding new employment opportunities. To our #PAHouse colleagues, we hope you consider signing on to co-sponsor this legislation. https://t.co/386MWwzV8S
By investing in organizations like @Lighthouse1893 and @Xiente_ that provide essential life skills and opportunities, we are creating safer communities and brighter futures for our youth. Together, we can make a positive difference.
“Part of the lesser-recognized history of the Kentucky Derby is that there is a long Latino legacy in American horse racing...From jockeys to the workers taking care of the horses, Latinos have long been a part of the Derby and other major races.”

Had a great time at the DC 21 Community Day of Action this weekend!
When we support organized labor, we are supporting working families across Philadelphia.
Far too often, decisions are made about people with disabilities instead of with them. The Executive Orders I signed today change that — inviting the physical, intellectual, and developmental disability and autism communities to the table and asking them to be the decision makers about policies that will affect them.
That’s what good, compassionate, and inclusive government looks like.
To every member of this community and your families: I’ll always have your back — and the steps we’re taking today will make certain Pennsylvania is a place where you are loved and respected.
HAPPENING NOW: I’m signing 3 Executive Orders to strengthen the rights and protections of Pennsylvanians with disabilities and autism.
Join the First Lady, Sec. Arkoosh, and me as we continue our work to deliver a Commonwealth for all Pennsylvanians: https://t.co/92sfZFMwgo
Today, my office hosted Philly's Assoc. of Mexican Businesses in Harrisburg. In addition to setting up a tour of the capitol, my office also setup a meeting with Chair @RepJohanny and @SenJamesMalone of the Latino Caucus to discuss immigration issues and concerns about ICE.
Reminder: these credits can put real money back in your pocket 💰Check your eligibility for the Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit and the Child & Dependent Care Tax Credit when you file. Don’t leave money on the table, make sure you claim what you’ve earned. #MadameSpeaker
Stay informed and exercise your civic duty! Primary elections are coming up in PA, and here's a friendly reminder around some important dates:
- May 4th is the last day to register to vote
- May 12th is the last day to request a mail-in or absentee ballot
- May 19th is election day for primaries
Why wait? Get your Vote-by-Mail ballot today, then send it back as soon as you can.
If it works for the President of the United States, then it should work for you, too.
With summer fast approaching, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation is kicking off lifeguard recruitment season by offering free training and competitive pay for the city’s youth.

Honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Self-Help Movement’s newly expanded, state-of-the-art facility providing addiction and mental health treatment. I'm proud to have helped secure $4 million in state funding to support Self-Help’s mission.
Today we celebrate neurodiversity and the strengths of autistic individuals.
Acceptance means creating a world where everyone is valued, supported, and included. Let’s continue to listen, learn, and advocate for a more understanding and inclusive community.

Congratulations @RepMazzocco and @RepTiburcio and welcome to the #PAHouse! 🎉
We look forward to working together to deliver for the people of Pennsylvania!
I’m honored to serve a second term as Vice Chair of the @NHCSL - National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators’ Labor and Workforce Development Taskforce!
We are one step closer to decriminalizing HIV in PA! HB 632 just passed the House Judiciary Committee. This bill removes HIV from PA’s criminal code and updates outdated laws that fuel stigma against people living with HIV. Thank you to my colleagues, @AIDSLawPa, and advocates who made this possible.
