Was proud to author and introduce HB947 to reform Waste Fraud and Abuse in our SNAP program in the State of Georgia. It was never given a hearing in the Senate. Embarrassing. I’m proud that the GA House worked to move this important piece of legislation, and hope that we can see it move through both chambers next year. #gapol
Georgia taxpayers deserved better and the Senate failed them.
House Bill 947 would have closed the BBCE loophole in our SNAP program, strengthened oversight, and helped ensure benefits actually go to those who truly need them.
Instead? The Georgia Senate Agriculture & Consumer Affairs Committee let it die.
Let’s be clear:
🚨 Georgia already has one of the highest SNAP error rates in the nation
🚨 BBCE allows benefits to be approved without full financial verification
🚨 Taxpayers are now on the hook for waste, fraud, and growing liabilities
This wasn’t complicated. It was accountability.
We had the opportunity to protect taxpayer dollars and restore trust in a program meant to serve the most vulnerable and the Senate walked away.
That’s not leadership. That’s negligence.

A tried and true conservative, Martin brings strong conviction and moral clarity to the Capitol. With a special passion for protecting the innocence of children and fighting against the woke ideologies that would do them hard, it’s imperative that we keep Martin Momtahan in the State House.

.@A1Policy doesn't just talk about fixing broken systems. We take action.
Sky high SNAP error rates. Weak oversight. Taxpayer dollars at risk. That’s not compassion, that’s failure.
Grateful for @RepMomtahan leading the charge in Georgia to restore accountability and protect those who truly need these programs.
This is what leadership looks like. 👇
.@A1policy makes policy work where it matters most, in the states.
Millionaires on SNAP. Benefits traded for drugs. Sky high error rates. That’s not compassion, that’s failure.
At the state level, leaders are stepping up and taking action: @PamAltendorf, @RepMomtahan, @GovBraun, @CrystalRDiamond.
This is how you fight fraud. Read more ⬇️

@RepMomtahan doing a phenomenal job today on the Georgia House of Representatives Blue Ribbon Committee on Elections interviewing Shane Hamlin of ERIC. Thank you Rep. Momtahan for all of your work to help straighten out Georgia elections! @GaRepublicans
Tonight along with a couple friends of mine, @RepMomtahan and Rep. Joseph Gullett , welcomed nearly 700 individuals of all cultures, races, from middle school to older adults in Dallas tonight. We will pray for Charlie Kirk’s family and pray for America. We will Reignite Georgia and Freedom in America. #Charlie #Freedom #America 🇺🇸 @GASenateGOP
@ThePMGN@ThePMGN we are on it. This theft has gone on far too long. It’s time to liberate these stranded Georgians and give them the opportunity for a quality education. https://t.co/wDNVarJ0rP
A huge rulling by the Supreme Court, smacking down the ridiculous process of nationwide injunctions. Under our system, everyone has to follow the law--including judges!
Congratulations to @RepMomtahan! He has earned this Leadership Award by being a voice for legislation that safeguards Georgia's elections - making it easier to vote and harder to cheat.
Welcome back to the House, Chief!
It was a privilege to welcome our Chief of Staff, Terry England, to the House floor today along with his incredible team of caregivers from the Shepherd Center. Please join us in lifting up Terry and Mrs. Cindy as he continues to recover.
On Chattanooga TV, Rep. Martin Momtahan (Dallas) discussed his legislation to reclaim a section of Tennessee land that historical records show belongs to Georgia. For educational purposes, he did it in front of a poster with the last decade of scores between @georgiafootball and @Vol_Football. #GoDawgs
