So @SimonHarrisTD made a promise and today @IrishWheelchair have called on you to enact the optional protocol.

This is the second Government where a minister for disability has yet to enact the protocol.

We’ve been continually let down and left floundering and we are saying #EnoughIsEnough

People with disabilities deserve equal rights. They deserve to be treated as equals in Irish society but as it stands Government have crunched the numbers and it will cost too much so the community continues to live as second class citizens well @SimonHarrisTD time for you to show us in the disability community that you are an ally! #EnactTheOptinalProtocol

We are in full support of this call from the @IrishWheelchair

We have called consistently over the years for the full ratification.

We are on our second Minister for Disability and still we don’t have ratification. Still we are rudderless.

@SimonHarrisTD is this to be another false promise?

Is this to play out as the #scoliosis scandal has played out with broken promises and media soundbites?

The recent referendums showed that PWD and the caring community won’t tolerate the consistent obfuscation by government and those who claim to represent us, ratify now!!!!!
