We're fast approaching the end of this year's trip. Yesterday we visited Elmina and Cape Coast, both of which have a deep and sombre history.

We have finished all our lessons now! We left Cecilia Blessing school and headed south, where we were warmly received by Assin Manso senior high school, followed by a short visit to the "last bath" on the slave trade route to the coast. Tomorrow, the slave castle.

Today we went to Cecilia Blessing school ahead of teaching there tomorrow. We added some paintings to their playground - an alphabet snake, hopscotch and a number wall. Of course, we had to check Mrs Nield's times tables..!

Today we headed south, stopping at Pastor James' church where we sang for the congregation (good job we have a chorister with us!) and entertained the Sunday School with facepainting and origami. Next stop: Cecilia Blessing

We also visited Akumadan Health Centre - Bella and Emily were particularly moved by the centre’s work last year and wanted to help improve the sanitation with their fundraising - it was great to see clean sheets this year and we hope to help further in the future.

Our time at Dreamland has been flying by! As well as lessons, we had a tennis session lead by Miss ‘Tennis’ Hearnshaw with kit donated by @TennisFndation

We had our first full day teaching at Dreamland yesterday, with music, science, maths, geography and English lessons. Up early and ready for another day today!
