Two important papers on water #fluoridation have just been published in @CommDentOralEpi
The CATFISH study in England observed 2 groups of children over 5–6 years to evaluate the systemic & topical effects of CWF on the proportion with caries experience in their primary (Birth Cohort) or permanent teeth (Older Cohort).
For both cohorts there was evidence of a beneficial effect on dmft/DMFT count (decayed, missing, filled teeth).
There was no evidence that the effectiveness of CWF differed across area deprivation quintiles.
