With already over $200m, @reserveprotocol promises a way out.
They do that through RTokens, backed 1:1 to tokenized assets.

1️⃣ The problem with inflation 📉

Prices rise because the government keeps printing money.

This increase in inflation means that the money you have today is worth less tomorrow.

Higher prices, rising living costs, and the dollar’s ​​diminishing purchasing power.

Even a currency like the dollar loses value over time, and that’s where @reserveprotocol come into play.

With Reserve, we're talking about a currency that holds its value because it's backed by real, tangible assets, offering a real solution to inflation.
2️⃣ The Solution: Reserve Protocol

The Reserve protocol stands as the pioneer platform enabling the formation of asset-backed, yield-bearing & overcollateralized stablecoins on Ethereum.

Anyone can deploy a Reserve stablecoin (RToken) with their preferred collateral basket, governance system and revenue distribution.

The stablecoins are backed by baskets of ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum.

@reserveprotocol believes that open exploration and competition can lead to the discovery of the best type of basket for ideal on-chain money.

Currently, the project has over $200M in TVL, according to @DefiLlama.
3️⃣ Deeper dive: What are RTokens?

RTokens is the generic name for stablecoin that get created on top of the @reserveprotocol.

The protocol applies a system of factory smart contracts that allows anyone to deploy their own smart contract.

Creating an RToken can be done either by interacting directly with the Reserve Protocol's smart contracts or any user interface that gets built on top of it.

When someone decides to create an RToken, they will have to define exactly what the initial configuration of that RToken will look like.

Including 👇

• Choose which ERC-20 assets
• What back-up assets the RToken will be backed by
• What weight each of theses assets will be governed
RTokens earn yield from diversified assets, and distribute revenue to:
• RTokens holders
• RSR stakers
• Supporting infrastructure.
4️⃣ Tokenomics: $RSR

The long-term goal is to facilitate the creation of an asset-backed currency independent of fiat system, which will be possible once a sufficient number of asset types are tokenized.

$RSR can be staked on a particular RToken, where it has two roles:

• Staked RSR receives a portion of the RToken collateral’s revenue in exchange for being the first capital-at-risk in the case of collateral default.
• Staked RSR proposes and votes on changes to the RToken’s configuration.

👉 Main use cases:

• Creating a decentralized USD-backed coin that reduces dependence on a single fiat coin issuer and a simple USD-based coin that packages the yield from #DeFi protocols.
• The purpose of allowing multiple RTokens is to encourage open exploration and competition, leading to the discovery of the best type of basket and governance system.
• Additionally, the platform could be used by companies to launch their own branded basket-backed stablecoins.

👉 Staking

The holder can decide to stake on any one RToken, divide their RSR tokens by staking on multiple RTokens.

The user can earn, based on three factors:
1. The amount of revenue the RToken generates
2. The portion of revenue that governance has directed to RSR
3. Your portion of the total RSR staked on tha RToken
When an RToken is deployed, the developer determines the distribution of revenue between RToken holders and $RSR stakers.

RTokens undergo a process where excess collateral is gradually traded for $RSR, enhancing the staked RSR's value over time.

5️⃣ Final Notes

The tokenization of real-world assets has become an increasingly prominent trend in the crypto space, and the @reserveprotocol presents a compelling and innovative solution to effectively mitigate the adverse effects of inflation, in a crypto way.
