And 44 out of 75 total is a functioning majority. The main win for Reform is that they *can* (and honestly most likely will) win the control in 2027.

The council is elected by thirds - so 25 seats (1 per ward) are elected this year, 25 will be up for election in 2027, 25 will be up for election in 2028. Then 2029 is a fallow year, and those elected this year are up again in 2030.

@braonbird @an0n_Nic The evidence seems to be that if you’re managing to claim PIP & LCWRA (the latter of which nowadays means ‘terminal illness with less than 12 months expected OR ongoing chemotherapy preventing work’), your income equates. Because, y’know, it’s so easy to claim these!!!!!!!!
