I had breakfast this morning with Aziz Ansari, to talk about his new movie being released by Lionsgate. GOOD FORTUNE will open in the fall of 2025 on October 17.

Aziz directed, wrote and
stars in this comedy. He has assembled a stellar cast, which in addition to Aziz includes Keannu Reeves, Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer.

So many wonderfully entertaining movies are coming to AMC Theatres and Odeon Cinemas throughout 2025!

On Saturday, our dozen highest grossing AMC theaters in the U. S. had two other things in common. All offer “Premium Large Format” screens (IMAX, Dolby Cinema and/or Prime). And all had our best, brightest Laser at AMC projectors.

In 2025, AMC will add substantially more (1) premium large format & extra large screens, and (2) auditoriums with laser equipped projection technology.

We installed really wonderful new seats at our Empire, Lincoln Square and Burbank AMC theatres. This Saturday, they were our 3 highest grossing (out of almost 550). As we can invest more in our theatres, we will spread this new seat to more theatres.

These new seats are wider and gently rock. They, have more padding along with a leathery look and feel. In many cases, they offer much more legroom. A big upgrade opportunity for some of our U.S. theatres

We know what to do. Make our theatres nicer for our moviegoing guests.

Social media conspiracy
theories about AMC and Roadside’s movie City of Dreams are such sheer utter nonsense. Needless to say, we only make money when we sell tickets not if we suppress ticket sales. Sometimes the craziest stuff circulates on the internet.

AMC will sell more tickets for City of Dreams than any other movie theatre chain on the planet.

Similar horse manure conspiracy theories circulated last year about AMC and the movie Sound of Freedom. They were completely bogus, and thoroughly debunked.

Some people just regurgitate what others say. But where does all this balderdash start?

In my view, the best theories as to why this happens are:

— Either short sellers and/or others want to trash AMC because they wish us harm, and have a vested interest in trying to hurt us, even if nefariously so.

— Or, some people out there — how can I put this politely — aren’t playing with 52 cards in their deck. #LessThan52CardsInTheirDeck

— Or both.

I am so proud of our announcement yesterday that so much of AMC debt will not need to be repaid in 2026. Instead 2029, which is a long, long time from now. One correction to be more precise, actually we might be able to convert $464 million of current debt into equity en route.

This debt extension to 2029 is a huge vote of confidence in AMC’s future by our lenders. Plus, it is possible to reduce our debt owed by up to $450 million as well. It took all of our skill, ingenuity, tenacity to get this  accomplished. This is such incredibly good news for AMC.

Stunningly good AMC news:  We successfully refinanced $1.6 billion of debt (with a plan for up to $850 million more). Was due to be repaid starting in 21 months. Now maturity dates extended to 2029 & 2030. We get years of added breathing room to build, grow and strengthen AMC.

#AMC 2026 Debt. A tale of two posts.

It was only 3 months ago, seems longer, that I posted on Linkedin that the #AMC 2026 debt would get taken care off, either paid off or rolled.

For that post, idiots like SugarShush and short sub contractors once again attacked me. Someone on #AMCStock on Redditt called me a Goldbug Lunatic in trying to dismiss my view.

Yeah...how is gold doing since?

And since then, #AMC paid down yet more of that debt and is now negotiating extensions to the remaining 2026 debt, likely at better rates.

Jeez, imagine that. I do know what I talk about (sometimes at least).
