Heb 11:6 "..He rewards those who diligently seek Him"
John 3:20-21 "For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light,
so that his works might not be exposed.
But whoever lives the truth comes to the light,
so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God."
Insightful and powerful!
@PresentWitness_ Bullseye. Plus the lies are so prevalent that humans have a natural revulsion to it. Only people still paying attention are ignorant or willfully ignorant.
The Gospel is much more than a book: it is Christ Himself, the Good News for humanity that is confused, deceived, and disappointed by many evils. He satisfies our thirst for justice and truth, and He instills in us the courage to persevere in doing good and to place ourselves personally at the service of our neighbor.
Michael Pollan quit caffeine for 3 months… and it broke his brain.
He couldn’t focus, felt like he had sudden ADD, couldn’t write, and said there was a “veil between him and reality.” He wasn’t himself, because his normal self was caffeinated.
The first cup back after 3 months? Pure euphoria, waves of wellbeing, then hyper-productive meth-like cleaning, unsubscribing from emails, and organizing his closet. He realized daily use kills the magic, so he tried limiting it to Saturdays only.
This story is wild because it shows how normalized our dependence is. We don’t even realize caffeine is shaping our baseline personality until we step away.
In a world running on endless coffee and stimulation, understanding our relationship with caffeine might be one of the simplest ways to reclaim clarity, sleep, and real energy.
Have you ever quit caffeine (or tried)? What surprised you most?
"If you knew how quickly people would forget about you after your death, you will not seek in your life to please anyone but God."
— St John Chrysostom
Gentlemen, it's not that complicated. If the woman likes you, she'll let you know. You'll know. But if she's emotionally unavailable or you sense she's faking interest out of fear of loneliness or she otherwise rattles your nervous system, walk away. Calm accompanies real love.
@cecsquared I was listening to Fr. Dan Rehill's weekly podcast. He was also abused when he was young. This is so tragic, and my heart breaks for you and all victims. He has, by the grace of God, gotten completely over it. Do you know him, and do you think it's possible for you too? I hope!
Today, May 24, marks the exact day the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles in the Upper Room more than 2,000 years ago🇻🇦🕊️❤️🔥
According to this historical timeline, Jesus was crucified on April 3, 33 AD, and rose from the dead on April 5, 33 AD. Fifty days later, on this very day (May 24) in 33 AD, the promise of the Father was gloriously fulfilled.
The Holy Spirit came like a mighty rushing wind and appeared as tongues of fire, empowering the disciples and birthing the Church on the first Pentecost.
As the Acts of the Apostles records:
“Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit...” (Acts 2:2-4)
On that first Pentecost, fear turned into courage, confusion into clarity, and a small group of disciples became the unstoppable force that would spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
In this present time, we need the Holy Spirit more than ever. Let us pray with one voice:
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful
and kindle in them the fire of Your love.
Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created,
and You shall renew the face of the earth.
Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us today just as You did on that first Pentecost in 33 AD. Renew the Church. Renew our hearts. Set us on fire with Your love. ❤️🔥 🕊️
Absolutely incredible:
Over the last 6 years, the S&P 500 has risen +130% while US Consumer Sentiment has collapsed by -55%, to its lowest since data began in 1952.
We are witnessing the formation of the biggest wealth divide in modern history.
