Both of the disaffiliation petitions were approved to take to the general session tomorrow. The One Church Plan was not passed & will not be considered for adoption. Tomorrow will focus on the constitutionality of the Traditional Plan & any amendments to the Traditional Plan.

Here is evidence of the deep division in the UMC and why the church has been stuck on some issues for years.

The Traditiomal plan just passed in the legislative session by approval by 55%. So the Traditional plan will go to the floor of the General session (Plenary session) for debate and official/final vote.

The 2nd significant thing that happened at GC was... By overwhelming majority (95% to 5%), churches that desire to leave the UMC with their property must pay for the unfunded pension liabilities in addition to other separation costs that are imposed by the bishop & conference.

2 significant things happened @ GC yesterday 1) Establish items of priority to work on. The top 5 priorities... required payment of infunded pension liabilities for churches that leave the UMC... the Traditional plan... 2 disaffiliation proposals... and the 1 church plan.
