We never saw a Eurocamp courier. The Eurocamp reception remained shut meaning no help, advice or recommendations and no access to resources left by others.
What did we pay for? Are Eurocamp now just a booking agent for the campsite?
@eurocamp Where have the couriers gone??? Just returned from Domaine Des Naides in the South of France. We’ve been at the same time of year to the same site with Eurocamp for over 10 years.
On arrival the Eurocamp reception was shut with a notice to say go to the main reception
@virginmedia Apparently the dept that needs to deal with this is now closed until Monday. Been promised a call back on Monday morning but don't believe it will happen as I've had so many broken promises.Totally useless. This has all been caused by the utter ineptitude of your staff.
@virginmedia NIGHTMARE. Been trying since the 9th June to port number from a previous address, been promised and let down so many times. Finally moved in and was promised the number would be ported yesterday. Guess what - not ported and my old provider has now closed my acct.
@virginmedia On the phone now. Have spent many hours going round in circles with promises made & broken. Can never speak to a manage/supervisor. Been promised calls back but they never happen. Been transferred to different departments with no notice & they can't help! Might just cancel acct.
I retired from my role as Vicar of Sarisbury Green in the 1st of January. Just spoken to a good friend who has also recently retired from a vicars role who described the experience as being dumped. So good and affirming to know I’m not the only one who feels like that!
@SouthernWater Appalling, utterly appalling. Sewage spill affecting five houses which you’ve known about since late Tuesday. We still have raw sewage inside our house, in our driveway and garden. Two people on Wed & Thurs to clean up and no one today, totally inadequate.
@Tesco SO annoying. My card expired and I’m using a replacement card. Every time I checkout I’m told my card has expired so I enter the new details and enable the Save Card option. But it doesn’t save. I’ve checked the options under My Account and there isn’t an option to update.
Something a made for my wife’s Christmas present this year. Made from an old table and about 18 inches high. Took ages on my scroll saw but was really fun making it.
For those who haven't heard yet, at our services last Sunday I shared the sad news that, due to pending pastoral reorganisation, from the 1st of January he will no longer be the vicar of St Paul's Sarisbury Green. Due to Christmas our leaving service will be later January.
Nice mask study ~consistent w/ prev. results.

"... face masks sign. reduce the risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection compared to social distancing. We find a very low risk of inf. when everyone wears a face mask, even if it doesn’t fit perfectly on the face." 1/🧵
Why Are There Upset, Stressed And Angry Clergy In Portsmouth Diocese? This is my take on the impact the diocesan reorganisation process is having on me personally and I believe on other clergy in the diocese. https://t.co/N9V5Y2Xaa3
How risk averse are you? I am incredibly fortunate that I haven’t yet been asked to take the funeral of someone I know who had died of Covid and I really don’t want that day to come. Read my latest blog. https://t.co/p65piRbMSL
As we move into the next season of church life we must be willing to change, because whether we like it or not change is going to happen, and to be honest it needs to happen.
But what might it look like?

Leading church today is like trying to reconfigure a turboprop aircraft into a modern jetliner. But we're doing it whilst in flight and without landing, and enough of the old must be maintained to keep the passengers happy. A few might make it but many will crash.
The storms of cultural change over the past 50 years have moved the river of culture & society but the church remains largely unchanged. That has to change & maybe with the financial impact of Covid now is the time for radical and painful change to happen.

We are told that it isn't safe for services to be held inside church buildings. Why then were Westminster Abbey given dispensation to hold one today? It's either safe or it's not! Clearly the government agree that it's safe but they aren't brave enought to say so.
It may be right but it is sad that we won’t be gathering for Remembrance Sunday. Over the past 17 years in our community this has become the largest service in the year. But this year, in our homes, We Will Remember Them.
Chronic Pain Is Coming To The CofE
Is this a once in a lifetime opportunity to set the Church of England up differently for mission and growth rather than decline? It may well be but there will be a heavy cost paid by some.
