Minister Jupally Krishna Rao Reviews Development Works at Bhongir Fort

Minister @jupallyk_rao conducted a field inspection of the tourism development works at Bhongir Fort and reviewed the progress with officials. He examined ongoing projects including the ropeway, hotel, parking facilities, restrooms, children's play area, fort restoration works, cafeteria, interpretation centre, and other tourist amenities.

The Minister directed officials to complete all works by October 2. He instructed them to closely monitor the projects and ensure that work continues round the clock, if necessary.

Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the State Government is giving special priority to tourism development. He stated that Bhongir Fort is being modernized while preserving its historic grandeur. He also noted that the government is working towards developing an integrated spiritual and heritage tourism circuit connecting Yadadri, Bhongir Fort, and Kolanupaka.

Bhongir MLA Kumbham Anil Kumar Reddy, MP @kiran_chamala , District @Collector_YDR Anurag Jayanti, and other officials and public representatives participated in the programme.

Development of "Bhongir Fort Experiential Zone" at Bhongir, Telangana under Swadesh Darshan Scheme 2.0

The Government of India has sanctioned the project “Development of Bhongir Fort Experiential Zone” at Bhongir, Telangana under Swadesh Darshan Scheme 2.0 with an approved project cost of Rs. 56.81 Crores. The project aims to transform the historic Bhongir Fort into a world-class tourism destination by integrating heritage conservation, visitor amenities, modern infrastructure, and a passenger ropeway system to enhance accessibility and visitor experience.

Project Cost: Rs. 56.81 Crores

1. Development of Passenger Ropeway System (Rs. 17.91 Crores)

System of Ropeway - Monocable Jig Back System

Length of Ropeway - Approx. 1,020 metres

Elevation Difference - Approx. 180 metres

Number of Cabins - 6 + 1

Cabin Capacity - 6 Persons per Cabin

Ropeway Capacity - 250–300 Passengers Per Hour (PPH)

Line Speed - 0–6 metres/second

Scope of Work: Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Passenger Ropeway System at Bhongir Fort, Telangana on a turnkey basis.
