Kk I’m done here, can’t decide if I’m logging out or outright deleting my account but in 48 hours or so I’m not gonna be here to give this hellsite any more engagement.
But the reality of Musk’s content moderation revamp has been defined by the billionaire exercising his own petty grievances with the platform and its users, and the obliteration of tools and teams that worked to make Twitter a safer place. https://t.co/Qw3e2BdlYS
@ewarren At this point in politics, “bipartisan” destroys any faith I had that this bill would be accepted. How many compromises to protect oil interests and Republican donors did the R’s demand in exchange for supporting your bill?
@JeffSharlet This is true but also invalidates your original question. “The whole mind virus” isn’t a coherent belief to which any particular stripe of conservative adheres; rather it’s intentionally vague buzzwords that each right wing group can fill with their own individual conspiracies
@JeffSharlet The Right doesn’t believe *anything* except “right good left bad” though. Many of the ideas they espouse are contradictory, and that’s a point of pride for them; it’s proof that rules like “logic” and “consistency” only apply to others and don’t bind the in-group.

What is your favorite single line from the Simpsons? Not a visual gag, not a dialogue exchange, not a long monologue about the style at the time. What is your favorite *sentence*?

Do not use the term “late-term abortion.” The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists defines late term as 41 weeks through 41 weeks and 6 days of gestation, and abortion does not happen in this period.
