After 24 hours, heading toward 1500 signatures. It’s like people know NFL stadiums are a terrible use of public land and money.
Or people really don’t like Dan Snyder for a bunch of reasons.
Or both.

Got a few minutes? We’re trying to give residents a voice in the future of what happens at the RFK Stadium campus. Help us👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

@dcsportsbog@RickMaese@EmGusk No taxpayer dollars? That almost never happens. Usually, taxpayers wind up footing more than half the bill: https://t.co/hllvztQuWi
And I want a pony for Christmas.
Look, in every new stadium built in the past 20 years, taxpayers on average paid 56% of a billion dollar-plus bill. Best case, that stadium is empty 350 days a year.
There are better uses of the land and money. #HailNo: https://t.co/VXxF9qRbna
...What will go in RFK Stadium’s place is a much more open-ended question!
What would you do with 190 acres in the middle of a city sitting by a river?
"While the end of the old stadium seems to be a foregone conclusion, what will go in its place ... is a much more divided debate." Read more on @DCist: https://t.co/bp2MHtnvJQ
Tonight's RFK-related event with DCist is sold out, but there is a waitlist: https://t.co/TNGoObpRFN
Petition to be say one football stadium shouldn’t be replaced by another: https://t.co/gMoatBnEt9
Let’s build more city and especially affordable, workforce, and family-sized housing. #hailno
.@realDonaldTrump tells @WMALDC he'll go to a @Redskins game. And adds this about owner Dan Snyder: "And actually the owner is - he's really a good guy. He's been a supporter and he's done a very good job. You have a good team."
ICYMI the traffic in #KingmanPark is bonkers tonight because of a soccer game at RFK. For perspective, tonight’s 20k attendees is less than a third of a new NFL stadium’s projected capacity. https://t.co/Oo5tkCORqa. #HailNo#HillEast
The future of the RFK Campus should not include a football stadium. Instead, we need to build housing (including affordable & workforce housing), jobs, parks, & more. But we should all agree that the future of this site should be in DC’s hands, not the federal government. #HailNo
@DCist Closing in on 4,000 signatures against an NFL stadium at RFK. The 190-acres could be so much more than a stadium holding football games 8 times a year. Sign here: https://t.co/u1wAbNosx8
@McCartneyWP@alex_block This would be an amazingly great outcome for our region if the region’s leaders can stumble their way into not throwing subsidies at him enough to end there.
This leaves DC as only realistic stadium site—but It will be hard if not impossible to get necessary approval from Congress. Snyder is in deep hole here.
