Update: The YouTuber said his wife's family hates him and says he is abusing her. Maybe there is something to the theory that he pressured her into it
Also I can't imagine my husband posting to his millions of followers about how terrible my parents are, wild stuff going on here
@JoshuaBarzon If I was going to itโd be ND, primarily cuz itโs better and my home.
But the real reason is itโs not what God led me and my wife to do.
โUh, yeah, of course Iโm glad my Dad didnโt fxckinโ terminate me. Iโm normal.โ
YouTuber Jesse Ridgway, who demanded sympathy for k1lling his baby because of a Down Syndrome diagnosis, smirks as he says he got to live because โheโs normalโโฆ
NO Parenting Gene detected.
Him using the terms โLack of considerationโ and โcowardiceโ to describe those opposing him and his wife slaughtering their unborn baby is ironic. Evil and wicked people. Totally depraved.
It appears too few people actually read anymore:
We had no idea our daughter had a congenital defect. We found out about 2 months after she was born.
She saw at least 7 or 8 doctors. We got second opinions, tons of testing.
Doctors made diagnoses, not priests. Priests help give moral guidance - the "what to do" after receiving medical diagnoses and what follows a pro life position.
Children with Trisomy 18 have a life expectancy of a few months to about year.
Most of the children who make it past a year need multiple major surgeries to stay alive. We didn't want that for our daughter AND she also didn't qualify (didn't weigh enough) for surgery to fix her heart defect when she died.
There are doctors who work in palliative care. They help guide when a person is approaching end of life.
And finally, the Crusades were righteous! Too often people think Christian = against violence. Christ turned over tables in the temple. Kings fight holy wars. We should pray for our enemies, but only unjust violence is wrong, not violence itself. Everyone knows it's right to defend yourself!
@ErickaAndersen From the clips Iโve seen, I would guess he gaslit/forced into their decision. She seems to be genuinely sad, and he is just constantly looking at the camera for angles.
@HansFiene That last paragraph is so true. I was just thinking last night about my children, and was praying that God would protect me from the selfishness that is in me to ever be tempted to abandon them for myself.
@MattMNobre@JonnyRoot_ Appreciate it. We had already named her Scottie, I miss her often, but am thankful for her role in our lives.
Our son's arrival will be met with joy and thanksgiving, thank you for the prayers.
My wife going through a miscarriage was an actual โlossโ. It was the most difficult season of our lives. It was beyond devastating.
Being by my wifeโs side as she went through that process was excruciating. It was horrific really. So many sleepless nights where you donโt know what to say, how to regulate emotion, and have no ability to cry more tears because there just arenโt any tears left to shed.
We didnโt choose to kill our child. We legitimately lost it by no fault or intervention of our own. God just decided to bring our twins home to heaven.
Forgive me if I have absolutely no sympathy for a couple that wants the world to feel bad for murdering their child with Down Syndrome as if they went through a miscarriage or a still birth.
My wife & I know what really loss is like. This is a slap in the face to the mothers & fathers that legitimately lost children.

Pure ableism. Dependency doesnโt deprive a person of their right to life and give us the moral ok to kill them.

He said they were halfway through the pregnancy, anywhere after 20+ weeks. Children have survived out of the womb as early as 21 weeks so those same babies you see in the NICU today, thatโs about the age/size of the baby they killed.

Mercy โ murder. Based on your ideology of mercy, we should be killing tons of born people too. The poor, the disabled, the orphans. Wouldnโt want them to suffer, right?? Terrible logic.

The doctor should be jailed too.
@McJuggerNuggets โIf you ever wanted to marvel at the depravity of people online,โ look for couples who announce that they had their baby killed because it was disabled.
@McJuggerNuggets You didnโt โloseโ the child, you had it killed. It wasnโt an โimpossible decision,โ you all made a free decision to kill the child because it was going to have a disability. You should not be getting death threats but the baby did not deserve to be killed.
@shannonical@peachey_keen@rwlesq I am not perfectly illustrating your point. I am pointing out the cognitive dissonance. Nuanced or not, what he did is not even in that discussion. He viewed it as his baby, he said as much.
ignorance is bliss. murder is wrong, and being content in both is sad.
