Emily’s eyes narrowed a little as she put on a playfully sinister voice.

“...Or evil.”

Emily saunters in, looking at her phone. After firing off a quick text, she slips it into her back pocket and announces her arrival:

“Guess who’s back and better than ever?”

She scans the room while waiting for a reply...

Emily placed a hand on her boyfriends arm, giving a slight squeeze to his muscle as she did so.

Satisfied with Chris’ answer, Emily folded her arms. Realising she may have stressed her friend out a little, she decided to encourage him.

“You’ve said yourself that she probably likes you. Even /you/ have picked up on that, so it’s probably true”

Emily looked into Chris’ eyes, trying to work out what he was thinking. She wasn’t used to giving out advice, but really hoped it was helpful.

Pausing to take a breath, Emily attempted to calm herself down. It was clear that Chris was getting flustered, so she changed her tone to become softer.

“Look, I can’t promise that Ash will feel the same. But what if she does? -

@friendshapedmt - as she finished the statement, almost daring him to oppose it. Emily quite enjoyed when her boyfriend put up a little fight... as long as she ends up winning, of course.

Emily cackled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear as she did so.

“And even if they did, who would /want/ to vote against me? My reign will continue, as long as my subject remains loyal.”

She eyed Matt up and down-

Emily giggled a little at Matt’s pose, before adopting a more seductive voice.

“Speaking of reasonable requests, I’m liking the ‘Queen’ title. Let’s keep that going, shall we?”

@seIfsacrifice Emily rolled her eyes at Mike’s flippancy.

“No need to get moody, I’m just letting you know how it should be.”

Em began checking her nails as she continued:

“We’re good, just the same as usual I guess. I want to go shopping, he wants to work out, so we go shopping.”

“Jeez Ash, you don’t have to sound so moody”

Emily pursed her lips after making her comment. She walked over to the sofa and took the seat Ashley offered.

“Anyone would think you /weren’t/ happy to see me”

“I guess not,” she replied sweetly.

Emily looked Ethan up and down, as if she was studying him.

“So come on, what’ve /you/ been up to these past couple months?”

She playfully jabbed his chest with her finger.

“Thank you,” she huffed.

Emily rifled through her bag a little longer before giving up her search.

“Actually, I quite like this distance... Mind if we keep this going even when you’re not sick?”

Letting out a little sigh, she looked up at him.

“I guess I just needed a little time to myself for a while to... recover. I didn’t mean to go MIA for so long, but I’m here now!”

Although Em would never admit it, she really enjoyed receiving Ethan’s affection.

Emily smiled sweetly as she draped her arms over his shoulders and planted a kiss on his cheek.

“You’re finally learning.”

She began to search her handbag, praying she had a pack of tissues.
