Stop looking for Burnhamism - in six years, I’ve never found.
Watching the mayor up close in Manchester, I’ve seen his unusual gifts and glaring weaknesses. Would he make a good prime minister?

On Friday night, we got a bizarre legal threat from Shabana Mahmood's special advisor: if we didn't agree to pull our planned story by 9pm, we would face a high court injunction.
I suspect he thought he could bully @brumdispatch because it's a local publication. He was wrong!
I ask @millmediauk staff writers to write 4 stories a month. One a week. For me that feels like the right mix of working really intensely to get the story done and also giving writers enough time to find new stuff and offer new insights. Readers seem to appreciate that.
It’s become almost routine that when you’re in a tight spot legally, Dan will support and get the word out to his massive following. He did the same over Andrew Milne. We’ve never spoken or met but this kind of behaviour is the good side of social media and much appreciated.

🗞️ 50,000 copies of @ManchesterMill are hitting the streets of Manchester. Huge stories, brilliant writing, and an impossibly generous offer that anyone can join as a member for a £ they choose.

A reminder that far more of these events are "baked in" to our future climate. So we are not just dealing with stopping the worst from happening but planning for what's already on its way
