America called us communists.
It calls others extremists, terrorists, narco states, rogue regimes.
The words change.
The pattern does not.
First it isolates you.
Then it sanctions you.
Then it arms your enemies.
Then it starves your children.
And if you still refuse to break,
It starts to talk about "humanitarian intervention."
Vietnam is not just our past.
It is your forecast.
If you are in Gaza,
In Caracas,
In Tehran,
In Bamako,
In any place that refuses Washington’s leash,
Understand this:
They do not hate you because of your system.
They hate you because you insist on breathing without permission.
Vietnam’s lesson to the Global South is clear.
They will call you monsters for fighting back.
They will call you childish for dreaming of sovereignty.
But one day, they will pretend the war never happened.
Your job is to make sure it stays remembered.
@WallStreetMav If he/she is mexican and rich, he/she should be linked to Cartels or be corrupt. What for a racist and ignorant retoric you idiots have. Start cleaning your own house first, you retards.
Gracias!
It occurs to me that @Apple would be incredibly smart to release a communication device that did not allow social media. Not a device with software lockouts via screentime, a device that actually did not allow social media apps at all. A reduced app set, somehow hard-coded into the device. There is a huge market demand for this specific product.
We simply lack the self-discipline to not install these apps. Silicon Valley has figured out our weaknesses and how to make us addicted, and companies have figured out how to use our dopamine as a pathway to taking over our personal time. By blocking this, Apple would be seen as a benevolent actor in a sea of malicious tech companies.
Call it something catchy like:
The “Emancipation From Applications”.
As parent with teenagers, I have explored this space carefully, alongside all of dozens of thoughtful parents I respect, from all walks of life. I am familiar with all of the dumb phones, and know friends with many of the hardware solutions used to make social media inconvenient.
Increasingly, I know adults who want this product for themselves. It’s no longer just about kids.
The more I think about it the more I realize this would be a genius play on many levels.
I usually don’t say this, but please retweet this if you feel the same way. I want to know if it’s just me.
