Eighty-two years ago today, the fate of the free world turned on the courage of ordinary men asked to do the extraordinary.
On June 6, 1944, more than 156,000 Allied soldiers crossed the English Channel and stormed the beaches of Normandy — many knowing they might never return.
They came not for glory, but for something far greater: the liberation of a continent crushed under tyranny. D-Day was not simply a military operation — it was the moment the tide of history changed, purchased at an almost incomprehensible cost in blood and sacrifice.
As we mark the 82nd anniversary, we don’t simply remember a battle. We remember the men behind it — their fear, their faith, and their extraordinary willingness to give everything so that others could live free. That debt does not expire with time. It only deepens.

There’s been a lot of talk in this race about what makes a "real man."
A man does what’s right when no one is watching. He upholds his commitments to his family and neighbors. He doesn’t lie, cheat, & steal his way through life.
Real men serve others. Weak men serve themselves.
Sexism and misogyny all in 30 seconds, along with the usual bloviating, self-aggrandizement.
Here's what I don't understand: Why isn't the next thing we hear from a WH reporter: "Mr. President, with all due respect, you owe Kaitlan an apology for your uncalled-for attacks."
In what other profession is it acceptable for an old man to berate a female for simply doing her job?
I wish K Collins or one of the other reporters had pushed back after being attacked.
You can do it in a respectful manner without being confrontational.
Trump attacking Kaitlan Collins: Be quiet. You should be ashamed of yourself. You used to be conservative from Alabama. CNN does such false reporting, but now they have new ownership, so maybe it'll straighten it out. It’s hard to straighten garbage out.
Collins: Just to clarify. is the $1.8 billion DOJ fund dead or is it on hold?
Trump: I'd have to ask the lawyers. I don't know. People like you have abused our people.
Collins: But Republicans—
Trump: Be quiet. You should be ashamed of yourself. You used to be conservative from Alabama. CNN does such false reporting, but now they have new ownership, so maybe it'll straighten it out. It’s hard to straighten garbage out.
Scott Pelley represents the tradition that built “60 Minutes.” There was no performance. There was no branding exercise. There was journalism.

@RaginReview College baseball is a warm-weather sport where plenty of good players from the north attend schools in the south because they can play plenty more games.
Nice try, but very misleading.
