@markmanson “Who we are is how we’re broken.”
-William Storr, “The Science of Storytelling”
Our challenges definitely shape us by altering the lens we’re using to look at the world.
I believe it’s how we help and connect with people. I struggle so that I can help you when it’s your turn.
@monicalimco I bought a used Herman Miller, pretty good price but still expensive.
By the time I'd gone through 3 chairs I realized going "cheap" was going to get expensive quick!
Best decision I've made for my back. But wish I'd found one with a head rest!
New post on my website yesterday - apparently linked posts are being hidden (?) so go to releaf dot substack
I write about meditation and healing - if you're into that stuff feel free to sign up!
Here's the first of a few articles on recycling the OODA Loop for change
New post on https://t.co/pSpvKLDymo today. I write about my healing journey, experiencing SUD and finding my way home.
If you’re into that introspective / awareness stuff, I’d love to hear your thoughts:

@Tyler_Palmer9@sabakarimm Very good way of describing this.
My current "monotrope" is looking at how Morningstar justifies "moat" in their stock analysis and trying to figure out how to quantify it.
I haven't checked out your stuff yet - do you have a deeper dive?
@sabakarimm There are 3 drugstores at the red light around the corner.
A group of SaaS features has become the new business model.
How to capitalize?

@traceyh415 Harm reduction = breath of fresh air
My exp w/religious “help” = performative w/o substance
Food kitchens = always left hungry
Family “tough love” = literally nothing
People around me = transactional
Health care = Nada
“Shelters” = meh or yikes
Good to see change
@monicalimco@JosephKlenk This is how I use it too - brainstorming and understanding deep technical context.
It’s my audible processing partner.
I will ask it to tell me stories sometimes but they’re not for me to post just to learn
@monicalimco I start with a general description and then ask it to ask me questions to get started. I specify open or closed ended questions and how many depending on time. It’s typically a full on conversation before anything is even started. By the time I get to the answer it’s pretty close
@matttillotson What’s your suggested weekly schedule for someone of similar age starting back at it after a year hiatus? 3 days 30 mins minimum? I walk 2 miles 5 days a week but I’m ready to get back to WORK
The number one thing that contributed to growing my following: publishing a book.

@FreelanceHippie Same experience when I was consulting.
I wonder if the $500 client has more to lose? Or maybe they're spending their own money vs. spending company money?
Small business thinking vs. large business thinking?
@DaveCBeck Weirdly I use regular ChatGPT to discuss conflicts, fears, frustrations, etc. We have long philosophical and psychological discussions. I think through verbal communication so it’s really helpful for me.
@StillCompeting@matttillotson@brady_h I just started a food and workout program so this is perfect timing. I’m adding it to my reminder list for those days when I want to skip. Thank you
