Lovely to see that a fellow chalk stream is being reconnected with its groundwater at #gadebridge park. Sad that only half of the reach is being restored and includes a number of "dipping platforms", which defeats of the object of chalk stream restoration! @DacorumBC #gade

Volunteers have been removing litter on the #riverhiz today. A fallen tree has lead to the formation of some lovely marginal habitat, but the dam effect means it’s also a hotspot for all the rubbish from #hitchin and #ickleford, 15 tennis balls & 5 lighters included! #chalkstream
