GP capitation for year of care (and remember average consultation rate is now around 7 times per year) is around £120. I am always amazed how we do survive and make ends meet year end. No private GP provider can match value for money (even if they cherry pick patients).

@wesstreeting If you allow self referral to secondary care, we will be overwhelmed even more & it’ll be even harder to find those with serious disease. Primary care is the best gatekeeper. It’s not a broken model. It’s under invested.

The NHS on New Year’s Day is literally running out of oxygen. We have so many patients in corridors we don’t have enough portable oxygen cylinders. Drs are being asked to conserve OXYGEN.
