@gabbablabber @AnnastaciaMP What's the evidence to say that they actually don't work? I have lived in an Asian country that has a zero tolerance approach to crime (youth or adult), and the crime rate is almost non-existent. The safest place I have ever lived.
@melfields6 Hi Melissa Great to hear you enjoyed the article. Great questions & thoughts about the culture & the effects of enculturation in our industry. There are certainly some barriers to overcome. I continue to work on those issues presently so hopefully I can find some answers for you!

@themichaelmcc Good ol Tally & O'Connor! You can't go wrong with these! These were the "bible" when I did my ECP course. I recommend them to students all the time now. Great story behind how they came to be also.
@BillLord2 "Blue sky thinking" but the ideal announcement would have been a funding and employment boost to ambulance, ED's, the broader hospital system and a plan to incentivise, train & recruit more GPs. When you have a system problem, there isn't much point only trying to fix one part.
@expensivecare@brendanWAST I agree that non-conveyance is the wrong metric but I could not disagree more with "every patient attended by a paramedic crew should be transported" This suggests that all non-pt facing systems are fool proof, which we know is not the case. Hence the role of ECP & community para
