🚨 BREAKING: A family at the centre of a tragic end-of-life case has called on rehabilitation consultant, Professor Lynne Turner-Stokes, to step aside from directing the withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment in a major brain injury case, while the Supreme Court prepares to examine her role in the controversial death of Robert Barnor.

Professor Turner-Stokes advised the Hospital to stop Mr Barnor’s dialysis – and thus end his life – by a unilateral ‘clinical decision’, without his family’s agreement and without seeking permission from the Court of Protection.

Just before Mr Barnor’s death, three Court of Appeal judges ruled that, contrary to Turner-Stokes’s advice, life-sustaining treatment cannot be lawfully withdrawn without a decision of the court. However, that ruling came too late to save Mr Barnor’s life.

Professor Turner-Stokes is the NHS’s National Clinical Lead for prolonged disorders of consciousness and the director of the Regional Hyperacute Rehabilitation Unit (RHRU) at Northwick Park Hospital in North London.

She is now due to take charge of the end-of-life care in another controversial case, where a High Court judge, Mr Justice McKendrick, recently ordered to withdraw food and fluids from a 28-year-old man suffering from a disorder of consciousness following a brain injury 6.5 years ago, overruling the unanimous opinion of his family and all treating clinicians that it was in the man’s best interests to continue treatment.

FHR’s family, continues to pursue an appeal against a ruling ordering his death by dehydration and starvation.

His mother, known only as 'FN', said: “My son and his entire family are treated by the NHS North East London ICB with unbelievable cruelty. I feel like I am living a nightmare. My son might or might not have eventually recovered from his brain injury, but for almost five years, he was stable and happy living at home surrounded by his family and a team of nurses and carers who know and love him.

“The Court of Protection is supposed to protect vulnerable people from cruelty and harm. In reality, every step of the way, the Court has rubber-stamped every order the ICB has requested to harm my vulnerable child and eventually to end his life.”

Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre, which is supporting the family, said: “No doctor facing unresolved questions over one disputed death should be directing the withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment in another case. Professor Turner-Stokes must step aside now.”

🚨 BREAKING: Health minister Karin Smyth has told the Darlington nurses there is no plan for new NHS rules on single-sex spaces, despite the government previously promising action and institutions repeatedly saying they are 'waiting for guidance' following the Supreme Court ruling 18 months ago.

Bethany Hutchison and Annice Grundy met the minister in Leeds following the nurses’ landmark employment tribunal victory, supported by the Christian Legal Centre.

The nurses warned that, without clear national rules, NHS trusts remain free to impose policies that undermine the privacy, dignity and safety of female staff.

Bethany said: “The government has had long enough. The law is clear. Women should not have to go to court simply to secure a safe place to change.”

The Darlington nurses are calling for urgent, legally compliant NHS guidance protecting single-sex spaces.

🚨 BREAKING: Christian evangelist acquitted after Crown Prosecution Service advances LGBT “safe space” argument in Soho

Christian evangelist Richard Johnson, has been found NOT GUILTY after facing nearly two years of prosecution for peacefully distributing an illustrated Gospel tract in Soho.

Mr Johnson, who has been supported by the Christian Legal Centre, was prosecuted under section 4A of the Public Order Act 1986 after two complainants said they were distressed by the tract’s Christian teaching on sin, judgment, repentance and salvation.

During the trial, one complainant described Soho as an LGBT “safe space”, while the CPS placed significant emphasis on Mr Johnson’s decision to distribute the tract in an area closely associated with the LGBT community.

His legal team argued that this amounted to an attempt to create a de facto “gay buffer zone”, in which lawful Christian expression could be judged by a different standard.

The court concluded that, although the tract had caused offence and upset, the prosecution had failed to prove the elements necessary to establish a criminal offence. The magistrates recognised the high threshold that must be crossed before freedom of expression can be restricted. A defence costs order was also granted.

We are pleased that Richard has finally been vindicated, but it is deeply troubling that the CPS was prepared to pursue this case.

No London or any neighbourhood across the country should be transformed into a censorship zone where lawful beliefs are suppressed or criminalised because they are controversial or unwelcome.

Nigeria: The body of Pastor Hills Emmanuel, who was abducted yesterday, was found today in Plateau State.

He and another pastor, Gabriel Joseph Dipak, were kidnapped by Fulani Muslims while traveling from Jos to Bokkos.

The Fulani reportedly abducted them by setting up a roadblock less than a mile from military checkpoints.

That same night, Fulani Muslims carried out four other separate attacks against Christians, all within 20 miles – at least three other believers were killed.

The Fulani Muslims are now trying to extort the family of Pastor Dipak with ransom demands.

A war is being carried out against the Christians of Nigeria's Middle Belt - it is past time for them to be defended.

Pray for these suffering families - they and their communities need immediate help.

BREAKING: A UK judge has authorised the withdrawal of food and water from a 28‑year‑old man — effectively sentencing him to death behind closed doors. FHR, who suffered a brain injury in 2020, is still showing signs of awareness.

Yet the court has now ruled that clinically assisted nutrition and hydration should be stopped. His mother, FN, says she’s been barred from seeing her own son, silenced by a sweeping gag order, and left fighting a system that “wants him gone.”

She said: “All I wanted was for my kid to be allowed to live naturally and to die naturally.

“The system has treated my son with unbelievable cruelty. My son was stable and happy at home, he was surrounded by love from his family, and I believe his condition was gradually improving. The system then abducted him, locked him up, isolated him from his family, ruined his physical health, drugged him up with sedatives, and has now obtained a court order to starve him to death.

“I believe that ending his life was always their agenda and the only thing standing between death and my son was the love and protection of his family – so that was brutally removed by force.

“It is probably too late now to save my son, but if so, the system which has done this to him should be held to account."
