“As I prepare to take my leave of our shared home place, I find comfort in an old Greek proverb: ‘A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they will never sit’,” Seamus Mallon's autobiography ended.
For those who may not have seen the Clinton video about the Camp David proposal Arafat rejected last minute, here it is.
“Hamas just wanted to kill Israelis and make Israel uninhabitable… well I got news for them. They (the Jews) were there first. Before there was their faith, the Jews were there”
Since Andy Burnham wants to be the next Labour leader, here’s a reminder:
Andy accused victims of Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs of trying to “propagandise” the issue.
He tried to block the grooming gangs inquiry in Manchester and nationally.
He claimed that Pakistani-Muslims grooming gangs are a “thing of the past” despite clear evidence that little girls are still being victimised to this day, including in his local area.
And what does he call the LITTLE GIRLS who were raped under his watch?
Not children.
Not little girls.
“Young women.”
Even on the most basic level, Burnham tried to shift the blame onto victims and refused to acknowledge that they were children.
Countless little girls were raped, exploited and even murdered by Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs, while powerful men like him turned a blind eye.
Andy Burnham belongs in prison, not Parliament.
And certainly not in 10 Downing Street.
I’m stunned. The Sunday Times is reporting Hampshire police wanted to portray Henry Nowak as the aggressor in an official statement three days after his death, but changed their wording following outrage from his family.
I’ll be covering this shocking and contemptible revelation from the hosting chair on The Late Show Live. @GBNEWS 12am.
I warn you. This will make your blood boil.
The bit that stood out for me was her saying:
At Nottingham girls high school she says they have replaced “controversial” books by “white male authors” such as Of Mice and Men and Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (a book about the Holocaust)
She says the whole point of “decolonising the curriculum
TWELVE terrorists posing as journalists have been outed in the last 6 weeks by Hamas & PIJ themselves. The most important story out of Gaza ignored by the mainstream media and @pressfreedom
A Muslim man from Gaza openly admitted that the Palestinian desire to kill Jews is stronger than their will to live or build a better future for their children.
This is what the media in the West ignores about the people of Gaza because it damages the false image of Islam as a religion of peace.
According to Islam, murdering Jews as human sacrifices for Allah guarantees Muslims a place in paradise — along with virgin sex slaves for eternity.
The Western media deliberately hides these statements because they destroy the carefully constructed narrative that the conflict is about “occupation” or “land.” Once you understand that most Muslims in Gaza and Ramallah view the murder of Jews and Christians as a religious obligation rather than a political dispute, the entire framework of “two states for two peoples” collapses.
This was brilliant. Trevor Phillips played a clip of what Keir Starmer said about George Floyd and displayed how Labour MPs expressed their “anger”.
David Lammy said it was fine because they were in opposition.
But not fine for Nigel Farage to use the term “rage” like they did.
There is a massive implication to this. By having a much wider definition, you can call far more things "safeguarding" and then as a leadership handle actions of clergy that you don't like as "safeguarding" rather than disciplinary. In this way Bishops circumvent due process (avoiding proper scrutiny and thresholds of judgement in a disciplinary process) and safeguarding teams have power way beyond their remit.
We need to not only narrow the definition of vulnerable to statutory criteria but also hold senior leaders to account for abusing the definition in order to avoid accountability for their actions.
Palestinian students at UNRWA schools:
“Stabbing Jews brings dignity to the Palestinians. We have to stab the Jews. They teach us that Jews are terrorists. I am ready to stab a jew and drive a car over them. I am ready to join ISIS.”
Does this seem like a normal society to you?
I must have watched hours and read reams on the murder of Henry Nowak, but few (just two) came anywhere near to touching the depths. I didn't really want to read or hear anything else, but this is the finest dissection of a profound tragedy you'll hear, informed by history, steeped in contextual analysis and cultural philosophy. Nobody does this kind of monologue better. Thank you, @ColinBrazierTV (and your @OutpostStudios producer). And thank you for supporting the essential integrity and defending the rights of Sikhs.
Even Arab leaders admit it.
Everyone is sharing the Bill Clinton clip where he describes how Yasser Arafat rejected a generous peace offer at Camp David that would have given the Palestinians a state on 96 percent of the West Bank, land swaps, and a capital in East Jerusalem. Clinton says Arafat lied to him and that the Palestinian leadership never actually wanted a two-state solution. They wanted to destroy Israel. It’s a video often shared by people like @VividProwess, and it’s an important one for people to see.
Of course, critics immediately dismiss it. They claim Clinton is biased or he’s pro-Israel. They’ll tell you that you cannot trust the American perspective.
Ok, so let us set that aside.
Now watch this.
In this powerful interview, former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, a major Arab leader who was directly involved in negotiations, says exactly the same thing from the Arab side. He talks about the Mena House Conference in Cairo as well as the Camp David negotiations of 1978. All failed because of the Palestinians repeatedly rejecting any offer. The Oslo accords were signed but because Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad were not involved, they derailed the accords and any chance for peace by initiating 4 years of terrorist suicide attacks in Israel. Then came the second Camp David negotiations in 2000 which Arafat agreed to, then rejected and instead initiated the Second Intifada.
Mubarak explains how the Palestinians refused to even participate in the Mena House conference of 1977. He describes repeated opportunities they were given, including a detailed document that called for Israeli withdrawal from the Samaria, Judea and Gaza, security arrangements during a transitional period, and other major concessions. The Israelis were willing to negotiate on difficult issues like who would control security. The Palestinians, according to Mubarak, kept saying no and wasting chance after chance.
He speaks with clear frustration about how for decades the Palestinian side has rejected peace initiatives and realistic compromises.
The video further shows footage from the PLO representative in 1977, as well as old footage of Egyptian president Sadat who was involved in the Mena House and first Camp David negotiations of 1978.
This perhaps is far more impactful than Clinton’s account because it is not a Western or Israeli voice. It is prominent Arab leaders who lived the negotiations, who represented the broader Arab world, and who had zero incentive to defend Israel.
When leaders from both sides of the table describe the same pattern of Palestinian rejectionism and violence, it becomes much harder to dismiss as bias.
The pattern is clear across decades and across different voices… generous offers, repeated refusals, and continued demands for everything while giving nothing in return.
This is not ancient history. It is the core reason the conflict continues today.

🚨(1)BREAKING: Christian community police officer wins settlement after being forced out of his role for questioning and criticising Islam during diversity training.
Luke Salmons, who has been supported by the Christian Legal Centre, was suspended for six months, forced to resign and put on a police barring list after he had questioned radical Islam in a training session.
He had been told that the session was a 'safe place' for discussion, but after expressing his beliefs, the consequences were devastating.
After taking legal action, his case has now been settled on confidential terms, however his story raises serious concerns about free speech and religious freedom in UK policing.

This is incredibly important and Angela’s thread explains why. The Charity Commission is trying to move safeguarding from being laser-focused on children and vulnerable adults to being about everyone at all times. It will ow safeguarding in the CofE up completely.
@WalkerMarcus The CofE already uses a different definition of “Vulnerable Adult” than the one used for DBS checks, which already causes problems.

The Church of England National Safeguarding Team is consulting on proposed changes to its safeguarding definitions and processes. The consultation closes on 12 June.

A thread after reading the draft.
In Ireland 🇮🇪, Free Palestine activists were standing outside of an Israeli-owned hotel chain, shouting “Eliminate the traitors” and “Zionists out of Ireland.”
You will notice that next to the genocide libel banner is a "Victory to Iran" banner, along with regime in Iran flags waving along.
Never in my life did I think I would see people posing as human rights activists while cheering on the brutal regime in Iran, but it sounds like Ireland.
