We're live now on an AMA on r/cybersecurity. Got EDR questions? training/career questions? want to ask more about us? Let's hear it!

@hunvreus I agree. I kept trying to do the night shift workflow, but it just ended up being a few agents (like 2-3) work through all tickets that were in the "Ready" state. They'd prep a bunch of PRs for me to review and merge in the morning. I'm building https://t.co/QdvmJboruO this way
> "You know what. I am REALLY LIKING this 1 on 1 with feedback."
> "Yes, learning while not in a bubble is so beneficial"
Students saying this in our Discord right now. We love seeing this.

🚨 MAJOR PRESS RELEASE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
Certs. Labs. Bootcamps. Home labs. Simulators. Even IT job experience. And a real Hiring Manager recently says this:
"We get an insane number of resumes. Many are not even close to what we want." (actual words...) 😬
You did everything right. STILL not qualified for Cybersecurity??? Not even saturation. That's current training + job pipeline + showing your work = not working.
We've built the "Guardian Foundry" to fix that.
Our own LMS and virtual internship with a verifiable experience portfolio you can share. Built specifically for this industry.
Prove you can:
- Find evasive live malware
- Write detection rules that actually work
- Respond to incidents like you've done it for years
- Audit security policies and propose real business solutions
Then:
- Submit your work for manual review
- All graded by former NSA operatives and industry seniors
- Get feedback
- Improve
Next? Show off your job task completions in a public portfolio, and even share your work with employers.
Use real enterprise tools like Sentinel and Splunk, and learn to be tool-agnostic. All skills NIST NICE and industry experience mapped.
What's it like?
- Live classes
- Walkthroughs
- Q&A sessions
- Interactive, realistic labs
You're never stuck figuring it out alone. AND... we made it feel like a game. 🔥
It's designed to be rewarding, FUN, not a grind.
Because if you're going to spend hundreds of hours building skills, you should actually enjoy it!!
- Stat points
- Builds
- Boss battles
- Guilds (yes, multiplayer cybersecurity training ftw)
- A Character Sheet - your portfolio of verified job tasks completed
This field is genuinely exciting. Your training should match.
Early access launching soon.

Well, just passed 5000 followers on LinkedIn. Sort of our main platform but we're also looking to grow other channels now like here. Really liking X, would like to see this boom.
Figured I'd drop the announcement here as a one-time thing the lore summary on us for those that don't really know us too well.
From the post👇

Just cracked 5,000 followers. 🤯
When we started Level Effect, we had a simple goal. Do something different than bootcamps.
> We landed on a trade school approach, the first virtual SOC, we built our own LMS and VM range back-end, small classes, mapped to NIST NICE, targeted to a role (not broad), real live incident response, and full report deliverables to validate skills. No multiple choice. Effective, difficult, many success stories, but limited in scalability.
A year ago we leaned in to on-demand to scale up and reach a larger audience. Risky. The goal here was also simple. Do something different than what on-demand courses were doing.
> We landed on a roadmap to take you from literally booting up Windows to real malware analysis and reverse engineering. All connected. A-Z. No catalog of surface level courses for dopamine hits. Live streamed to have an Instructor walk through it. It's a clear and challenging climb to the peak of Mt. Security Tier 2, with a breeze of Tier 3 air.
Turns out people were hungry for training that respects their time, and is honest on expectations and reality. We grew quickly after that.
It hasn't been easy, definitely a few burnouts and crashouts to get here. You believed in us though, shared your stories. YOU kept us going.
To everyone who's been here, whether you joined last week or you've been with us since day 1 - thank you. We are grateful. 🙏
We hit this milestone today because of you.
Now, the best is yet to come. We got something cooking up that puts it all together. Stay tuned. 🔥
And just like that, the first iteration of Alerts to Adversaries is complete! 🎉🎉
This week @Level_Effect and I gave the first offering of Alerts to Adversaries. The class started with classification methodology - a valuable skill for anyone working in Detection Engineering or the SOC. We then moved into how to classify various types of real-world alerts (Processes, Threads, Named Pipes, Services, etc), how to uncover the activity that wasn't shown in the alert (all in Microsoft KQL), as well-advanced analytical practices (that help deal with issues like alert fatigue).
We ended the course with a capstone which gives students the ability to investigate a real-world multi-staged attack across multiple hosts. Students classified those alerts, uncovered malicious activity that weren't in the alerts, provided feedback to "bad" alerts, and wrote their findings in a report.
The students were PHENOMINAL. Thank you to ALL who joined for this first offering. Excited to keep it going and build on it.
