@e_galv@DDunrud That’s because from a big picture view we have an extraordinarily productive and well structured society. The problem with our society is how the economic incentives are structured and the capture of the legislature and law enforcement by the bourgeoisie. 🧵
Yesterday LA city council voted NO to expanding city council, against the will of Angelinos. Expanding city council would mean that angelinos would have better representation in city council and city council would have less power. LA even invested resources to have a civic panel made up of 100 angelinos to decide on expanding city council and we said YES. I was a part of it. They voted to defer this to 2028. The number of city council members is arguably more impactful to LA government than the mayor and they are doing this because they don’t want to lose power. I am livid, and if you are an Angelino you should too. These people voted NO to put the expansion of city council on the 2026 ballot. Call them and DEMAND that they put it in this years ballot.
Bless @mehdirhasan for having the patience to answer this Nazi.
The alarming part is that Silicon Valley–run media platforms have normalized Nazis and their allies who spew hate daily.
They're on X and YouTube now, but soon they’ll be on primetime.
“He told me to take them. In the next attack, use them as a human shield.”
An IDF soldier and five former Palestinian detainees tell CNN that the Israeli military has used civilians as human shields in Gaza, as @JDiamond1 reports.
@sopjap What’s funny is it’s only the voters who do this, the party of course is divided to the point of uselessness the moment they have anything resembling power.
"The problem is you haven't diversified your income streams or set up any side hustles!"
I dunno dog I think the problem is that an apartment that cost $600 in 2008 costs $2000 today and that wages haven't gone up
