@HackingDave Almost embarrassed to say I remember that night because I drove across the DC metro to a Best Buy in Virginia to stand in line and get my copy at midnight 😂
@dmbkparker@Apple My daughters both used the Air through four years of college (and then an MA for one of them) and well beyond. Surprisingly solid computers.
@indexnforgetit I ended up buying a Tesla because it was proving impossible to buy the Toyota I wanted. Bought the car on the app at a restaurant while waiting on dinner to arrive. Easiest new car purchase I’ve ever made. Turned out to be a great decision.
@EstabrookAaron@grok@elonmusk Aaron, if I can afford to buy my own kids' school lunches, why should I expect @elonmusk or anyone else to pay for them? How would that be fair to anyone?
I really enjoy @tesla FSD but 14.3.3 needs work. I really liked 14.2.2.5 and while it wasn’t perfect, it made me believe we are very close to unsupervised FSD. The update gave my car a lobotomy! It makes the dumbest decisions now and I frequently intervene.
New: @BenSasse sits down for an interview with me at a bar in Manhattan.
We talked about many topics—from his childhood to politics to Heaven—and why his message about “redeeming the time” after his terminal cancer diagnosis is resonating with so many.

Some people are very concerned about a supposed 40,000-acre, 9-gigawatt #datacenter that got approved in Utah. My experience says that "approved" and "built" can be a million miles apart. I figure odds are greater that @elonmusk and @SpaceX will colonize Mars first.
This reminds me of a bio manufacturing facility that was supposed to come to my area. Politicians moved heaven and earth to accommodate. Apparently no one checked to see if the company had anywhere near the needed leadership, management, or financial capacity to build and operate a multi-billion dollar business and associated facilities. The land sits vacant and the company is bankrupt. They never broke ground on their incredibly ambitious project.
@KSPrior I remember catching a prominent SBC pastor behaving in a manner contrary to the biblical expectation for a pastor because he thought he was anonymous online. I also recall the SBC women I made aware extending him grace he never even knew about while he continued his attacks.
@HLC_actual Dude talks about 75 million gallons a year like it’s going to end humanity. To put that number in context, the cattle in my county consume roughly 380 million gallons per year.
