I want to shoutout @CoachHutchman26. With everything going on with @AggieBaseball Hutch is currently running camps and has been the heartbeat of the program for the last 26 years. This program wouldn’t be what it is without you. Thank you for EVERYTHING you do, Hutch! #GigEm
@sooner_john1@Doc_Texas He sure did. Schloss was absolutely the best coach we’ve ever had, he’ll live in Augie’s shadow in Austin. The far better hire would have been Jay Johnson, the guy who took away Texas’ tie for second place in all time CWS titles when he actually won a championship.
@cjsmith_101@CStavenhagen@im_samant@TheBattOnline CJ, I love you man, but you’re arguing literature with an English major. I would defer.
A key element of satire is that what you are satirizing must be considered acceptable by portions of the audience. You are mirroring and exaggerating actions to criticize their invalidity.
@cjsmith_101@CStavenhagen@im_samant@TheBattOnline If Schloss’ departure wasn’t widely condemned, comparing him to a pedophile may be absurd enough to make that point. However, it is being panned as a bad move. I would personally say that it fails the minimum level of commentary to constitute satire. It’s a good parody though.
Texas A&M has and always will be about more than one person. It’s about the collective group of people that make Aggieland such a special place. Regardless of who is at the helm, the 12th man will ALWAYS be there. That alone is enough to give me confidence in the future of Aggie Baseball. Us Aggies are fighters and we have a great opportunity to show that now more than ever. RELLIS will forever win in the end. Gig ‘Em!👍🏼
Ps if you need a new catching coach, I’d happily be there tomorrow.
