@pluto_hashpack@henningsanden This argument is used over and over again. Ignoring how much time and money is spend on training and practice, also to compensate teachers and schools. Artists help each other out, while these AI companies are just scraping their art without any consent
@TsubasaArt@Blender Yeah, there are regressions and long lasting bugs. And it's unfortunate in your case the materials changed. Though it is expected in a major version upgrade that there are bigger changes.
But also looking at the commit logs there have been improvements all over the place.
@TsubasaArt@Blender What you call "lazy" is prioritising things. Building a software like Blender and maintaining it, isn't like a walk in the park. It takes a lot of effort. And I think the release notes from the latest updates speak for themself that Blender indeed is continuously improving
@TsubasaArt@Blender The whole principled shader changed from 3.6 to 4.0 and they made some conversion code that adds a node in simple cases to minimize the visual differences when upgrading.
It is important to report issues but one should also accept it when devs say it isn't worth the complexity
My particle node groups are now available on Gumroad for free https://t.co/8Lol8soSPt
I also opened a thread on Blender-Artists for feedback :) https://t.co/v2LSJZvsdB

@BTestrender You're welcome. Yes there is an slide factor on the collide node I made. I'm the snowing example I set the velocity to zero once the snowflake hit something. So the default is actually sliding a bit :)
Small update to my node groups: New Node "Air Resistance". Particles slow down depending on their velocity, size, and weight ๐จ

Trying to create a few handy particle node groups that make particle systems in #geometrynodes super easy. I'm planning to upload them for free once they are polished enough. :)

Just released another update for my Blender add-on https://t.co/bKDmuuPJ9h
Image files can now be loaded in a batch process to create sculpting brushes! Shown brushes are made by Nicolas Swijngedau https://t.co/FNp8pZExyJ
