@Sir__Walsingham Despite your attempt to sectarianise the march, the cause of Palestine cuts across religious and political divides. Many Protestant/Unionists support the cause of Palestine and oppose genocide and ethnic cleansing.
@fiachra_mcs@ClaireHanna Clearly we need to prepare for a united and independent Ireland. But the demand for a referendum is not at all inconsistent with that. The preparation can begin now and will continue after a referendum. Achieving unity can take place some years after a referendum.
If you are interested in knowing more about Quakers this is a useful place to start. Itโs from an American perspective but reasonably informative. It lasts for 10 minutes.

@KellyMatshall@JohnHann04 To a degree & only recently. You will remember Ian Paisleyโs โsave Ulster from sodomyโ? These countries are majority Muslim but where LGBTQ people live without persecution:Albania, Kosovo, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Bahrain, Lebanon and Indonesia. Ignorance abounds everywhere
@KellyMatshall@JohnHann04 Itโs funny how people slam Muslims for beliefs which are widely held within the conservative evangelical Christian community & the Roman Catholic Church. And equally many Muslims do not share anti LGBTQ views, just as within the Christian community. Ignorance abounds everywhere.
N Ireland needs an Executive which can implement effective & progressive programme of government. That Executive must have support of a majority of MLAs. A return to a Unionist one party state is not going to happen. NI is a multi party society with growing number of minorities
You have said what needs to be said. We can argue about two-tier policing and to what extent it exists, but the evidence of a two-tier response by politicians and the media to racism and murder is there for everyone to see.
Barely a month ago this man was imprisoned for the violent rape of a Sikh woman believing that she was a Muslim. No Douglas Murray articles in the Spectator, no Baroness Fox speech in the Lords. No riots. Two tier? Too right https://t.co/8wABWe3bww
@irish_news Disappointed she https://t.co/X4jjAKoQ4h example how small minded politicians use power to intimidate people who speak their mind. @TGastonMLA should note the reaction of Peer who said โis the noble lord aware that in the West Country the word bastard is a term of endearmentโ
Farage reminds me of the late Ian Paisley. Using rhetoric to incite others to violence and the subsequent prison sentences. Meanwhile he builds for himself a successful political career on the backs of those who he incited. When will we ever learn.
People like Farage talk about two tier policing. Heโs right. Farage can incite riots and is left in peace. Pensioners peacefully and with dignity object to Israel's genocide and the proscription of Palestine Action and are arrested and prosecuted by the police.
@JaimeeUSA@DouglasKMurray Why donโt you show the response? Murray as always just comes out with a litany of falsehoods which would be fine if you showed the reply but you donโt
The police behaved appallingly: Arresting & handcuffing a dying man, Henry Nowak - NOT his KILLER
These officers must be prosecuted!
But it is despicable the way Nigel Farage & Tommy Robinson are exploiting this tragedy to stir hate, AGAINST the wishes of Henry's family
@irish_news I certainly recommend people to read this article along with that of Brian Feeney. Ironic that 100 years ago Unionismโs political leaders was much more tolerant of Irish than they are today.
@BenGoldsmith Are you really suprised at the surge of sympathy for Hamas throughout the world? What do you expect when Israel carpet bombs Gaza, killing men, women and children. Or flattens south Lebanan or encourages settlers to burn down olive trees and kill their owners on the west bank?
@BladeoftheS People talk about two tier policing. Farage incites riots and is left in peace. Pensions object to Israel's genocide peacefully in central London and are arrested and prosecuted.
