@ShanesLife3 I agree with your points 100%. It was so important for this film to come out in the time that it did in order to open everyone’s eyes. Especially from the perspective of spike Lee, it was impossible not to gravitate towards the concept of this film.
@axmi_mi I definitely agree. I think the film did a great job at balancing the two aspects of wanting to portray the key point and also being engaging and entertaining. That balance is key especially when you’re trying to portray something so important
#MEDIA180SP1D08 When I watched "Do the Right Thing," it made me feel tense and made me think about important issues. There was music, camera angles, and lighting to make the movie feel intense and real. The film talked about race and police violence, which were big issues (1/2)
@TunwinTeya Hi I think you have an interesting point about how the anti smoking advertisements have switched over to anti-vaping because it seems to be more popular with teenagers. However you could also be receiving these ads on coincidence!
@MWeiul I definitely agree with your point about how luxury goods are associated with higher class which is why SHEIN and other low priced shopping websites are so popular and attractive to young adults or just the majority of people in general (the working class)

The target audience for this ad is Taylor Swift fans or anyone who knows her music, which is really anyone who listens to top pop music .It uses a familar/ well loved face to attract people to buy their product, AKA celebrity endorsement. #MEDIA180SP1D08
@Katherineeecq Hey Katherine. I 100% agree with your point on how cable does connect people from all around the world! This was similar to the point I made. If anything, cable creates deeper bonds than commercial television because people are more passionate about the television they are
I don’t think cable has disrupted our sense of community. In fact, it has created a better sense of community by forming smaller, more niche groups of shared interest in different tv shows and media. #MEDIA180SP1D04
@stanleychnn Hi Stanley. I disagree with your point because I believe that if anything, the diverse channels catering to niche interests actually bonds people of those shared interests more than people would bond over commercial television.
