@TunwinTeya I really enjoyed the film as well and found the touches of music to be very entertaining since it kept me on the edge of my seat. The movie I felt also did a really good job of highlighting the many issues that people of the time would try to ignore.
@RobinRawas I definitely share your sentiment on finding the film to have varying degrees of suspense. Touching on big issues such as racism to me showed the films awareness on how society still has a lot to learn and improve on in terms of being a truly welcoming society.
Do the Right Thing to me was very engaging since it felt like I was in the moment. The music, camera angels, etc. helped create suspense and made it feel like you were there. at the time there was a lot of racism which was a key point of the film. #MEDIA180SP1D08
@MWeiul SHEIN as a shopping platform I agree is well known as they are constantly running all sorts of ads to clickbait viewers into buying from them. Considering that most young girls prefer to online shop these ads are in fact tailored to appeal to them.
@TunwinTeya I agree with you in saying that selling data to advertisers has a huge impact on what advertisements people are exposed to. For teenagers vapes are a big deal and so because of our age range companies will be more compelled to advertise vape related side effects.
The target audience of this advertisement would be adult drivers, more specifically road raggers. This is because the depiction of someone being punched puts into perspective the physical damage and impact that follows a crash. Encouraging people to be mindful. #MEDIA180SP1D08
@Q7557738790635 I understand your point in saying this, however I would say that the broader choice in what people watch actually aids community in a way. Since forming community doesn't necessarily mean watching the same things but being able to communicate about whatever is being watched.
@rainjournalism I agree with your point completely as cable doesn't disrupt a person's ability to watch certain shows with their families and experience the same joys watching something just air. It is simply the same entertainment just in a different form.
Cable hasn't disrupted our sense of community because most bonds rely on the accessibility of networks people talk about. While systems like NBC could have been effective, I think that no matter the platform bonds come from accessing the content to discuss easily. #MEDIA180SP1D08
@RobinRawas This is a very good point since the internet will always be a pool of misinformation no matter what precautions you take. So, I think it would actually be very beneficial to educate people of media literacy this way people can learn to navigate misinformation on their own.
The FCC should regulate the internet like it does with television. Since corporate conversions allowing monopolies to take root and the act of misrepresenting tragedies while documenting them are common. So, FCC regulations would help lessen misinformation spread.

@ShanesLife3 You bring up a good point about protecting children since with so many young people having access to the internet, they are always at risk of being exposed to inappropriate material. Giving more reason for the FCC to look into regulating the internet. This way children are safe.
