@LGUS is prioritizing manufacturing and logistics robots before home humanoids.

On its Q3 earnings call, the company said it expects the humanoid market to open properly around 2030 and plans to expand into home humanoids then. It is working with Nvidia on simulation, world models, and robot platforms, and is building a data loop targeting roughly 500,000 hours of combined real and synthetic training data.

LG also said it will open its large robot data factory in Seoul in Q4.

Italian study finds 8.7% of young adults have sexted with AI.

Researchers at @SapienzaRoma and the University of Aosta Valley surveyed 378 people aged 18–35. Of the 33 who reported AI sexting, 75.8% were men. The behavior was linked to higher sexual sensation seeking and problematic porn use, but the authors stress it is still rare and not a new pathology.

The piece frames it as part of a broader shift: people are confiding in, flirting with, and seeking emotional support from chatbots that simulate reciprocity without having any.

Dubai is targeting a 2032 launch for a 3.5-metre humanoid robot.

@AIAOrbis is developing what it claims would be the world’s tallest humanoid. Europe’s answer to China’s robot data boom is a “RoboGym” in #Munich.

@NEURARobotics (backed by @NVIDIARobotics, @amazon, and others) is running up to 100 humanoids and industrial robots 24/7 at a facility developed with the Technical University of Munich. The robots train on real factory tasks, picking parts, stacking boxes, handling fragile items, and share what they learn through a common cloud “brain.” Neura plans more gyms globally, including one already open in China.

The goal is to collect the real-world data physical AI needs, at a time when China is building far more of these training centers.

Chinese startup @westlake_robot showed its upgraded WR1 AI model running continuous household chores on a humanoid.

The robot took laundry off a drying line, adjusted for shifted clothes, folded items (with help from a second robot), then moved across the kitchen, living room, and bedroom: pulling corn from the fridge, placing it in an air fryer basket, collecting toys, and making the bed. All without mid-task human resets.

The company claims the updated model outperforms Figure AI’s Helix on some continuous control tasks. Success rates and real-home reliability are still unproven.

The hospital (part of a government ARPA-H-style project) has demonstrated two humanoid surgical assistants working alongside a surgeon. One acts as a scrub nurse, recognizing voice commands like “scalpel” and handing over instruments. The other assists with endoscope control and tissue retraction.

The goal is to ease South Korea’s medical staff shortage. Clinical trials are targeted for around 2029.
