@MmeLockhartLDSB I agree. I posted some comments on the IDA's tweet. (I.e. whose scope and sequence (duplication of work/inconsistency?) And why do the graphics make it look like word study ends in grade 3?
@IDA_Ontario@ONeducation Another follow up: am I reading this graphic correctly that word study would fade to nearly nothing after grade 3? (I don't understand the logic there, as it seems unlikely we would have covered everything they need. Or is it segmented, and something is coming for post-primary?)
Here’s what we did with the paint chips yesterday - paint chip poetry using metaphors and similes to describe what colours feel, taste, smell, look, and sound like. #poetry#creativewriting

@SimoneMDumas So glad this showed up in my feed. Congratulations! Is there an advance copy available? Would love to read it - so many implications for action by the system and everyone in it.
@MmeLockhartLDSB @moorhead_emily@LimestoneDSB@OCT_OEEO That's awesome! Grassroots difference-makers can build success in spite of slow systemic change, yay for acces! I was thinking more about board-level or school-level decisions about classroom resource purchases (like leveled reading systems) that reinforce outdated practices.
@uOttawaEdu how many faculty members and lecturers have knowledge/training in the #SoR? If it is not 100%, will you publish this data and commit to targets and a timeline as a first step in #RightToRead so the top of the food chain is ready? #R2RSymposium
YES to system-level implementation! District leaders should have their own systems for recognizing and removing barriers and increasing quality and consistency of intervention supports. - @KimStMartin#R2RSymposium#onted#evidencebased
