The United States has signed a major 15-year agreement to source rare earth minerals from Greenland’s Tanbreez project, significantly cutting its future dependence on supplies from Africa and China.

Tanbreez is rich in heavy rare earth elements like dysprosium and terbium, which are essential for American defense systems and extremely scarce outside of China.

The deal will help the US comply with upcoming Pentagon regulations that limit the use of Chinese-origin rare earths while reducing supply chain vulnerabilities.

REalloys is currently developing a fully non-Chinese rare earth supply chain across North America, strengthening the independence of US defense manufacturing.
