L2s still behave like islands.

Trustless movement takes too long, so the ecosystem compensates with bridges, relayers, liquidity networks and other workaround infrastructure. That adds trust assumptions, operational complexity and fragmented liquidity.

The real issue is not just latency. It's broken atomicity across the L1<>L2 boundary.
