We had some fun in the school holidays with @Channel10AU who came to visit one of our water rocket workshops to film one of their #shaketakes https://t.co/rKn5HmTIui
Our founder @CranMiddlecoat was stoked to meet Indigenous Aerospace Engineer Taylah Griffin at our STEM career pathways day with @QATSIF. Taylah is a flight test engineer at @Boeing. Students then completed our water rocket workshop to achieve the best flight performance #STEMed
In honour of Australia's first nations engineers and scientists, these 3 Indigenous artworks will soon be heading to space in the first all Australian made rocket with @BlackSkyAero. Students Jaeve Proberts, Graham Melville were with @CranMiddlecoat to present the art to BSA.
π On Mon., April 19, our Ingenuity #MarsHelicopter makes its first attempt at flight. Watch live coverage from @NASAJPL beginning at 6:15am ET (10:15am UTC) as the team receives the first data & finds out if they've made history: https://t.co/JFEsGuAYbr
News from the Red Planet: The Ingenuity #MarsHelicopter continues to be healthy, and work progresses towards its first flight on Mars. A detailed timeline for rescheduling is still in process. Details: https://t.co/V0Z0Wa6m3q
On the International Day of Human Space Flight, we are inspired by the engineers, mathematicians, technology specialists, scientists and dreamers who were inspired to figure out how to get to space. Not just because we could, but for the betterment of all people on Earth πππ
April 12 is the International Day of Human Space Flight. 60 years ago, Yuri Gagarin had his first historic flight into the cosmos. As we reflect on his accomplishment today, we look ahead to the future of human space flight as we prepare to send humans back to the Moon.
Our founder and chief aerospace geek @CranMiddlecoat was recently a guest author for international magazine K12 Digest. In his article "STEM: What is it really?", Cran asks why imagination is not given a greater focus in the Australian Curriculum. https://t.co/DiuMCOJgam
If you're in SE QLD, we'd love to give you a demo of what our water rockets can do, along with some tips for how to get the most of your equipment for teaching #STEM curriculum. https://t.co/TNMPGV3qx8
If you're a bit further afield, contact us for an online demo!
And from our National Science Week blog last year, more reasons why we need scientists in space, striving for new frontiers. https://t.co/6kxnL8LIVA
#rocketscience#innovation
I canβt say we agree with the President. Space travel and exploration has been the foundation of so much scientific - including medical - discoveries that have improved the standard of living. Through innovation we can also achieve equity https://t.co/nAJdc4Wd9q
Space travel is an exciting idea, but right now we need to focus on Earth and create a progressive tax system so that children don't go hungry, people are not homeless and all Americans have healthcare. The level of inequality in America is obscene and a threat to our democracy.
If you love talking #space, tune in to SpaceMates Online tomorrow, Tuesday 23 March 8-9 pm (Brisbane) or 9 pm (AEDST). @CranMiddlecoat will talk with @Spacespecialis1 about how rockets, flight and space is a great platform for #education.
