The U.S. needs to abandon the very old Keynesian idea that economic growth is inflationary and that having low unemployment is inflationary. When you have strong economic growth and it’s productive activity that increases economic output, you’re increasing supply. So even if consumer demand goes up, you’re battling inflation by meeting that demand with the increased output. But the Fed sees it the opposite way. The Fed says all we can do is crush demand with restrictive interest rates.
Expanding real physical production and raising workers’ wages is not inflationary. It’s what beats inflation.
This policy has driven up cost of construction, mortgage interest rates, credit card interest rates, business capital borrowing cost, and decreased your buying power and limiting wages.
Artificially increasing labor wages by voter fiat is not the answer to affordability either.
Looking forward to seeing how Kevin Warsh will manage the Federal Reserve.

County Commissioners in Oklahoma can't directly adjust property taxes. Advocates for property tax reform have pursued alternative funding mechanisms for public projects to avoid burdening taxpayers. Working with legislators, we introduced several reform bills this session.
In Cleveland County, population growth and rising construction costs have driven up property values. Though annual assessed-value increases are capped at 3%, the effect compounds over time. Meanwhile, city and school district bond issues—approved by voters—have grown with higher project costs, effectively raising property taxes to service the debt.
The legislature’s decision to forgo substantive debate and passage of these measures remains unclear and warrants direct inquiry with lawmakers.

@JimFergusonUK My son has had this for 14 years. To nearly four years before it was actually diagnosed and even then it was not well known. This is serious.
Rep. JJ Humphrey Demands Grand Jury Investigation into Oklahoma DHS Failures
Oklahoma State Representative Justin “JJ” Humphrey (R-Lane, District 19) is sounding the alarm on what he describes as gross negligence and systemic failures within the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS).
In a strongly worded letter dated April 1, 2025, Rep. Humphrey formally requested that Attorney General Gentner Drummond establish a Multi-County Grand Jury to investigate DHS over allegations involving preventable rapes, sexual assaults, physical abuse, and extreme neglect of children under the agency’s watch.
Key Points from Rep. Humphrey’s Letter:
• Humphrey is backing District Attorney Adam Panter (District 23), who previously called for the same multicounty grand jury investigation after raising concerns about DHS failures that allegedly left children vulnerable.
• Humphrey says he has personally uncovered numerous violations and alleged illegal acts tied to DHS operations.
• He accuses a substantial portion of DHS employees and administrators of either participating in or ignoring what he called “blatant abuse and abhorrent criminal acts.”
• According to Humphrey, DHS has repeatedly refused to correct dishonest and unlawful conduct, while agency leadership and oversight officials have shown little interest in fully investigating complaints.
• Additional concerns raised in the letter include allegations that DHS instructed employees not to speak with legislators, threats made to families involving child removal, and questions surrounding a “voluntary removal program” allegedly operated through a contracted company tied to former DHS leadership.
Humphrey wrote:
“My anger towards those who fail to protect children is only eclipsed by my anger towards those who harm them… I will not let this issue rest or be ignored until justice is obtained for every one of the children who suffered preventable rapes, sexual assaults, physical abuse, or extreme neglect due to DHS’s failures.”
This request is part of a broader pattern of frustration surrounding Oklahoma’s child welfare system.
Rep. Humphrey has spent years publicly pushing for investigations, filing petitions, supporting OSBI involvement, and advocating for families in high-profile cases such as Clayton Woolley’s.
Multiple grand jury efforts across Oklahoma, including in Oklahoma County and Garfield County, have reportedly faced roadblocks, allegations of interference, and other unusual incidents, including claims that one petition effort was intentionally destroyed.
The growing calls for a grand jury investigation reflect broader concerns about transparency, accountability, and whether Oklahoma’s child welfare system is adequately protecting vulnerable children while respecting the rights of families.
Oklahoma families and children deserve answers.
Demand accountability from Attorney General Drummond and state leadership. Share this if you support independent investigations into child protection failures and meaningful DHS reform.
