@NeverSinkDev You still need people who know. You have 15 years experience and serve as a bridge in many ways. That experience wont exist anymore and may grow increasingly valuable as a result. This is a big transition but economies arent new to those. It's an exciting time.

@biggestjoel @fofodubendo This is probably the better answer. I used to joke a computer was thinking. There was no danger of anyone misalignment my intent to mean something on par with human thinking. That danger exists with AI and the use is not appropriate.

@fofodubendo @biggestjoel My first year of law school the prof in one class said each person gets one warning if they use 'clearly' in an argument, then letter grade drop after. AI doesnt think. It computes along a set path. Yes it does calculations--many. No. It does not reason (part of thinking).

@dungeonpunk I used to think yhe same thing. Uploaded questie once out of sheer frustration. Now I use it. Not all quests are written well, and sometimes it was taking me 30 minutes to find what I needed for ten minutes. I agree but it's a tradeoff in the limitations of game design

@biscuitdangerr People always buy gold. The gold selling and ftp markets are tens of billions in sales each year. Not me, I dont need it and dont like it. People openly admit it in groups across games though. Its almost an accepted thing at this point

@DaveShapi Nah. It repeats based on pattern recognition what is most likely. It's like someone who is good at rote memorization, but can not apply it. AI can work through tokens quickly based on guessing from patterns. It's still one dimensional. Hallucinates because it doesn't reason.

@MeisMorgan83094 @WilliamHogeland They use pattern recognition and guess. They do not reason. Not LLMs. Plenty of papers out there. The arguments for AGI typically involve assumptions about what could developed in the future. Lots of assumptions actually

@Noahpinion Once the entire population accepts the principle that its ok to off people to save money, it's not hard to see it expand. People want money for their own health care. It will continue to expand. It will be defended. There is no moral guiding principle at play.
