It has very little to do with who was in power at the time, and a lot with a global pandemic that disrupted supply networks. However, the US has experienced much higher economic growth than other developed countries...

@pmddomingos @mattwridley That's a rather dishonest statement considering the evidence for the lab leak theory is largely circumstantial, and certainly not "overwhelming". Most published articles agree the virus had a natural origin -- are the authors dumb or is it a conspiracy?
