Excuse me but, we threw off a monarchy in 1776 because we didn’t want to have men governing over us.
We created a Constitutional Republic some we would govern over our representatives.
The Very sad thing is that we have been educated into complete ignorance about the proper role of government.
Now we have a very large segment of our population that has no understanding that there is a very important distinction. And we have a growing number of power greedy people in government who intend to take advantage of that ignorance and seize the power to dictate. Without intervention that seizure of power won’t stop until we are thrown backwards into the dictatorship from when we came.
