Today’s @ScitFootbll Saturday Senior Spotlight is @roman_glowac. The 6’4 200lb senior TE always seems to come up with a big catch when it is needed.

When Roman isn’t hauling in passes on the gridiron, he can be found grabbing rebounds on the basketball court, where he was a Patriot League All-Star last year and returns as a captain for the Sailors this year. In the classroom, Glowac, has a very impressive 3.85 GPA and is a member of both the National and Business Honor Society. Over the past 4 years, Roman has been a member of the SHS DECA program, where he currently serves as the chapter leader for SHS. Roman has also served as the president of the SHS Sports Debate Club the past two years. In his spare time Roman likes to hang out with family and friends. He also gives back to the community of Scituate by volunteering with the flag football program in town

Roman plans on attending college next year, however, is undecided on where that will be. No matter where he ends up, there is no question that he will find success!

Sundays are for @ScitFootball Stats!! Scituate improved to 9-0 on Friday night after beating #15 Melrose in the opening round of the Division 4 MIAA Playoffs.

Offensively, the Sailors used a balance attack of both run and pass to rack up 400+ yards of total offense. Leading the way for the Sailors was Jr QB @jonnydonovan2, who was 6/9 with 225 yards passing with 3TDs. Donovan also added a rushing TD as well. @WillyRob14 lead the ground attach with 135 yards and a TD. He also added a TD through the air by hauling in a 86-yard TD reception. @graysonfoley_ added 60 yards rushing. While Senios @lawson_foley (2 rec/73 yards) & @roman_glowac (2 catches/52 yards) each caught TD passes

Defensively, the Sailors were led by SR LB @wyllys_ames who register 12 tackles, and had an interception return for a TD! @Parker_shaw90469 @amari_mendes & @Coyne0825 all played well registering multiple tackles and each had a QB sack. @ronan_manning continues his outstanding play with 9 tackles

The Sailors move on to the 2nd round of the Division 4 MIAA playoff where they are set to meet a familiar foe in Wayland. A rematch of last years first round playoff game!
