True — no kid should ever be in that kind of situation. But the mother used her child as a human shield, which escalated it. And yeah, maybe the dad had a seizure — but real seizures don’t resolve in seconds. If he recovered that fast, it’s fair for ICE to question whether it was genuine.

If we brought back behavior schools, held parents accountable for school damages, and suspended any student—regardless of race, SPED status, or emotional needs—for threatening staff or students, teachers would actually look forward to coming to work.

This is especially true in North Las Vegas, where so many educators are burnt out from constant behavior issues and covering for colleagues who can’t take it anymore.

And let’s be real: ban cell phones in schools, and fights will drop significantly. You don’t need a researcher to figure that out!
