Invest/trade my own money for a living. Built FTerminal for fundamentals: as-is financials, audit trails, segments & KPIs. Own data.
Not financial advice.
I trade my own money for a living. No day job. This is my job.
FTerminal started as a small project. My own financial database, designed the way I want it, with models the way I want them. It ballooned into a massive undertaking. I own the whole pipeline — SEC filings ingested and normalized by my own systems, not rented from a vendor.
Financial Health Grades, forward-looking grades on thousands of stocks, with the complete debt stack, off-balance-sheet financing, and scenario calculators. Plus, moat scores and earnings quality grades.
As-is financials, statements exactly as filed, with clickthrough audit trails to the filing itself. Exportable to Excel and Google Sheets.
20 years of standardized EDGAR data on 5,000+ stocks. Five years of pre-parsed, searchable 8-Ks, 10-Qs, 10-Ks. Full 3-statement models, DCF, SOTP. Segments & KPIs. 13F, insiders, ETF tracking, earnings calendar. A full technical suite — trend stages and more, on IEX tick data. 20+ years of economic and Treasury data. MCP access so any of my LLMs can query it.
Proprietary forward metrics — my own adjusted EPS and revenue estimates, built independent of Street consensus.
Still building: real-time earnings reports, an M&A database, customer dependency graphs.
Charging for this was never the intention — I might just open it to the public for free.
I traded crypto for a long time, and TBH, it should be going down. I have come to the conclusion that's all horseshit. Sorry, but it just is. Normal people don't want to keep their net worth onchain. The juice isn't worth the squeeze anymore. Stocks give you better risk adjusted returns.
@linbo_tang A surprising number of accounts that unfollow are accounts that get banned for whatever reason. Think about those unverified bot follows that have a pic of a girl and no posts.
@OptionEdgeHQ I'm going with the boring answer. If I had to actually make a decision (gun to head) I would choose the meal with the healthiest balance. Hopefully the gunman would give me a minute to consult AI first.
@njcAllocates@jbfinancebull Great advice. Banks will lend you more that you can actually afford. Why? The loan is collateralized with real estate and the homebuyer is cushioning the liquidity risk with the downpayment. They don't care. You pay the mortgage, they make money. You default, they make money.
