On 3/20/1997, a warrant for the arrest of David Gingras was issued in Maricopa County for the crime of Sexual Conduct with a Minor, a Class 6 Felony. The alleged crime, which occurred multiple times between 1995-1996, began 6/2/1995. David allegedly fled to California soon after the warrant was issued. Two years later, on 6/29/1999, David Gingras was arrested in San Francisco, California, was declared a fugitive and set to be extradited to Maricopa County, Arizona. At the time of the alleged sexual conduct, the victim was 16/17 years of age, with David Gingras at 22/23 years old.

Due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the prosecutor, a “Not Guilty Arraignment” was held on Thursday, 8/5/1999.

In November of 2006, David Gingras received his first DUI charge, as he was pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence in Maricopa County, AZ. In December of 2008 Gingras was suspended from practicing law for 30 days “for conduct in violation of his duties and obligations as a lawyer…” related to this DUI charge.

In July of 2025, David Gingras received his second DUI charge, which is presently still pending trial.

David Gingras has received numerous bar complaints, many of them in the past 5 years, including 11 in relation to the Owens v. Echard paternity case in 2024. The bar complaint from Michael Marraccini was significant enough for the @AZStateBar to recommend a Probable Cause hearing for witness intimidation on the part of Gingras.
