Record cash in money market funds isn’t bullish liquidity—it’s the parking lot before the regime test.
8.3T parked at high yields screams caution, not confidence. Institutions and smart money are clipping safe 4-5% while waiting for clarity on the real variables: fiscal trajectory, duration supply absorption, and whether the AI/productivity narrative actually monetizes fast enough to justify valuations.
This is classic late-cycle behavior—front-end feels abundant, but it’s rotation out of risk into “dry powder.” History shows these peaks often precede volatility spikes or policy pivots, not endless melt-ups. The money isn’t “on the sidelines” ready to chase; it’s hedging against the claims economy getting repriced.
The signal isn’t euphoria. It’s deferred conviction. Watch where it flows (or doesn’t) next.
17 years after the white paper, the Bitcoin network is still operational and more resilient than ever. Bitcoin never shuts down.
@SenateDems could learn something from that.
Mark Carney is so out of touch with Nepean that he doesn’t even know the riding or the community. He still thinks it’s 2021—Bells Corners is actually no longer part of Nepean.
Another indication of the lost decade under the Liberal Party. Nepean deserves better, let’s bring it home! 🇨🇦
The Election is FINALLY here and we are ready to turn Nepean Blue and put Canada First! Nepean residents, have you ordered your lawn sign yet? If not, please contact our office TODAY at: [email protected]
Let’s Bring it Home!! 💙
I had the great pleasure of attending the LiUNA meeting with our Common Sense Conservative Leader and Canada’s next Prime Minister, Pierre Poilievre. I have dedicated my entire career to serving my community and my country, and I will always work hard for Nepean. Let’s bring it home!
A credit-based monetary system with a currency that expands and contracts is always vulnerable to a rug pull by the monetary authorities.
Expand credit rapidly, and you force people to take investment risks to keep up with the debasement.
And you also encourage people to lever up and buy things with cheap debt.
But contract credit quickly, and you can rug-pull those same people, crush their asset values, and force them to liquidate everything they own to pay off debts.
Once you understand this, it's easy to see why an alternative system with a predictable issuance and fixed supply is a morally superior economic foundation on which to build economic life.
Bitcoin is that system.
It's likely that the U.S. only has ~112k BTC and China has 194k BTC.
There are theories that China sold their coins but the official response was that the coins were "transferred to the national treasury."
There are only 21 million coins total.
Plan accordingly.
