Hello #OHBM2024 ! 🧠
Are you interested in the implications of the differences in head size between females and males?
Come visit my poster "Disentangling the Effect of Brain Size from Sex Differentiated Aging Trajectories" (poster 1196) on Monday!
If you are at #OHBM2024 and want to talk about human ex-vivo diffusion MRI, connectomics, and microstructure specifically in neurodegeneration, then pass by my poster #291 Monday Tuesday and let's chat! @DadarMahsa@YasharZeighami
Finally I wanted to thank Nárai et al. for making the MR-ART dataset (https://t.co/XaCVRxgUTC) publicly available without which this study wouldn’t have been possible
We also found that normalized Euler number closely reflects the motion in T1-weighted images and in absence of visual rating can be used as a proxy covariate for the motion signal in the age prediction model (or any other measure affected by motion, e.g. cortical thickness)
First paper from the lab is out in @ImagingNeurosci : "Investigating the impact of motion in the scanner on brain age predictions" with @RoqaMoqa@DadarMahsa

We investigated the effect of motion in T1-weighted images on brain age prediction using cortical thickness (FreeSurfer) as well as VBM, based on visual and automated ratings of the images (Euler number) and found an increase in estimated brain age in subject with higher motion

@DadarMahsa@YasharZeighami@DouglasResearch@mcgillu Hello,
I hope everything is going well!
I am interested in neurodegenerative diseases and my field of study is about aging using neuroimaging( functional connectivities). Since I studied in medical physics ( imaging) in my Msc, I am aware about the advanced brain imaging methods
